Ya gotta read the fine print when on-line casinos offer you free money...

So I got an email promotion offer from BetMGM in late September offering me a 50% bonus, up to $50, if I would deposit money into my BetMGM account, for online casino gambling only.

So I deposited $100, and sure enough Bet MGM credited my account with my deposit plus the bonus $50.

I played Blackjack off and on for about 10 days, and today looked at my account balance. It showed the amount I had before the promotion deposit, and my current balance after the promotion. It also stated that I could only withdraw the amount that was in my account before the promotion.

So I looked again at the promotion offer and saw in the fine print that I had to bet 25 times my $50 bonus within 7 days of receiving it, or they would claw back the $50 bonus plus I would not be able to withdraw any subsequent winnings.

I called them to clarify the issue, and they confirmed that, as I hadn't wagered 25 times $50 = $1,250 within the 7 days, I was in default of the promotion, and therefore could not withdraw any winnings from the time I had received the bonus, into perpetuity...

They said they could cancel the bonus for me, and as I was up in my account at the time, they could restore my account to the amount that was in it on the date I exercised the promotion, plus leave in the additional $100 I had deposited.

So the end result was I couldn't keep my winnings above and beyond the original amount in my account plus the extra $100 deposit, not that the extra winnings was any huge amount. A lesson well learned, my friends!

I tried one of these promos once this summer. Deposit $500, $750 total. Left my balance in BetMGM and did read thankfully it was 7 days to complete the required 25x you mentioned - $12,500. I play heavier and was playing each night at that time, managed to complete the requirement in time but it was nerve racking for sure.

The comical part is I was up $1,200 on top of the extra $250 when the balance flipped from bonus to regular balance so the $250 extra didn't feel like much and totally not worth the risk of leaving the balance in the casino - I like to take it out after each time I play so I can go into other casinos online or use the money elsewhere.

This is the biggest crap of all casinos offering free bonuses but as you stated if you do win $ on your bonus bets you cannot withdraw your winnings until you continue to bet multiple times to reach their limit and usually 90% of the time you los Bottom line is Don't fall for this shit. I do play poker on Bet MGM but I don't like their site that much but Ontario residents have very few choices to play online poker thanks to ASSHOLE FORD.

Interesting story. At least you didn't lose any of your actual cash.

Thanks for the heads up.

Not only is this type of stuff done on BETMGM, it is the same on every online casino and poker site. Whatever you win using your bonus bets you must continue to bet up to 25 times more before any winnings are credited to your account and you usually lose your money doing that. Bottom line, don't fall for this bullshit.

Yes it makes no sense what's so ever. If you're planning on players at least you can lose to friends.
But it sounds like they want you to Make crazy betds. Just make some bet I'm not realize you're not winning because of the fine print. I mean if you lose everything you're not gonna do anything But if you win but then do the 25 times....

It would be fair if they sent that you have to keep the bonus money 4 like 6 months before you take it out. Odds are you going to bet it.
