Totally agree. The lefties keep coming up with this meaningless alphabet soup of labels. The list is longer than my arm. Here is just a small sample.what I do have an issue with is the media taking one side on these issues and essentially stifling any debate with people who aren't "progressive"
Most countries / custom officer / custom guard will think that passport with sex as X is a fake. Good luck with anyone using a Poltical correct passport. Leftie / Poltical Correctness will come back a bite that person in the ass so to speak. LOL!!Might not be a good idea to use that passport to travel to Iran. Whatever.
That's right . Just because you have a passport doesn't mean that the Border Guard is going to let you in the country. Just like going to the States . They can ask you if you ever smoked a joint and if the answer is yes ( because you don't want to lie ) they can say sorry but we want your kind in our country even though it's legal in Canada . Yes any country can do that . Even if the guard doesn't like the way you look that person can say go back , you're not entering my country .Might not be a good idea to use that passport to travel to Iran. Whatever.
If you took the time to actually look at the story, X is for non-gendered, not trans.Just imagine the lawsuit that will be filed when Bubba inspects and tells an ”X” person to bend over and cough expecting to find only one hole but finds 2. ....
Everyone has a right to their own opinion except if they publish it, or prefer that opinion in publications they own? Is that it?As a civil libertarian I don't have an issue with it, what I do have an issue with is the media taking one side on these issues and essentially stifling any debate with people who aren't "progressive"
The modern Canadian passport (in use since the 1920s) doesnt list religion at allWas there a similar outcry when they stopped listing religion on passports?
If the shoe fits...Totally agree. The lefties keep coming up with this meaningless alphabet soup of labels. The list is longer than my arm. Here is just a small sample.
Racist (their favorite)
Bigot (also their favorite)
Islamophobic (another favorite)
Homophobic (a big favorite)
and so on and so on.
The problem is when it doesn't fit yet gets forced on just the same.If the shoe fits...
Since some international agreements that relates to passports don't allow someone to change their sex designation, a man who now looks like a woman (or had surgery and is now a woman) would have a physical appearance that contradicts their stated sex so the X would be a heads up to customs as to why.Isn't the role of a passport to represent a person's physical appearance for identification purposes? How does "X" accurately reflect a person's physical appearance?
What better way than an 'X' would you suggest, to inform people not to expect the holder's appearance to identify them as obviously male or or obviously female?Isn't the role of a passport to represent a person's physical appearance for identification purposes? How does "X" accurately reflect a person's physical appearance?
Why list gender at all, then?I think its amazing that X will be an option on passports. Everyone should have the right to choose how their sex and gender are represented on legal documents. Passports have a photo--that's perfectly good info to identify someone correctly.
