He had to. I recall at his death the value of his estate was roughly $40,000, or less.
This is what happens when you collect wives. He was married 8(?) times.
If you are one for nostalgia, when I lived in California there was (and still is) a tv station called METV it has all the shows you can think fo from the sixties and seventies. Cannon, Mannix, Rockford Files to name a few. Loved that station and I wish I could get it up here.
I can't figure out how TLN managed to get The Godfather films, Paramount is a stickler for not allowing their content on other platforms. I was hoping The Rockford Files would show up on CHCH, no such luck.
Time for some more classics.
I want Kojak and Six Million Dollar Man.
That aside, seen That Girl on currently.
Thinking that Marlo Thomas was a hot little fuck
But then also thinking she probably had a bush like a squirrel down there
For what it was King of Kensington was extremely under-rated, it had CHCH alum Bob Vinci as part of the cast. The show was called Italianissimo on CHCH, hosted by Emilio Mascia and Tino Baxa. Tino was the mumble mouth that roared, he got a new station (TLN) off the ground and successfully lobbied the CBC to broadcast the 1982 World Cup. Classy Graham Leggett got in on the ground floor as well.
CHCH moved to a new building.
And yet their set or stage looks so awful as if they are broadcasting from a basement. You can see the bolts and nuts holding their partition in the background. Like there is no craftmanship in the set. Like high school kids volunteer to do it for the credits.
CHCH also weakened their signal so they are gone to me now. My HD antenna in Toronto can't pick them up any more. Now I'm just left with my memories of Norm Marshall, Sandy Hoyt and of course, Tiny Talent Time.

The channel has been near financial death for quite some time.
So moving to downsize studio space somewhere less pricey seems quite plausible.
And why dress it up.
Who are they competing with?
Young kids don't watch TV.
Advertiser want growing aspirational lifestyle people to be watching.
And they are not.
So advertisers left to places like tic tok.
