If you prefer I can edit 1st post to say "aerosol droplets"
If you said that initially, then I would have had no issue, but you were clearly trying to show that aerosols are different than droplets.
Majority of science is claiming aerosol is most common transmission

If it was droplets your masks would actually be doing something to reduce rates
You were claiming that masks are ineffective against aerosol seeing as that is the most common mode of transmission, hence attempting to prove your point that masks are ineffective.

Then you say If it was droplets (and not an aerosol), then the mask would be effective against that. There is no other way to interpret that post. You did not know that they were the same.

That is simple
125 nm + bond

All over the web a quick Google will find it for you
It is simple but you got it wrong. The virus itself is 125nm. The droplets, which contain the virus are about 1,000X larger. Much easier for a mask to block.
“COVID 19 virus particle size is 125 nanometers (0.125 microns); the range is 0.06 microns to .14 microns,” the post said. “The N95 mask filters down to 0.3 microns. So, N95 masks block few, if any, virions (virus particles).”

The virus attaches to water droplets or aerosols (i.e. really small droplets) that are generated by breathing, talking, coughing, etc. These consist of water, mucus protein and other biological material and are all larger than 1 micron.

Here's the link to the USA Today article. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...too-large-stop-covid-19-particles/5343537002/

Clearly masks, which filter down to .3 microns, would not be effective against free unbound virus particles of 0.125 microns, but they are very effective at stopping droplets which are bigger than 1 micron. Case closed.

Thank you for confirming to all that you can not read
Nothing further needs to be said

My post VERY clearly states:

125 nm + bond

Virus is 125 nm PLUS (that is what the "+" symbol represents) WHATEVER* molecule it has bonded to

Definition of bonding since it went straight over your head

*you can NOT say the size of WHAT it bonded to UNLESS you KNEW EXACTLY what it has bonded to

You done looking foolish yet? If no I am still online for a bit.

I can't be the only one picturing shack as Bobo can I?

He is posting in other threads but walked away from this one

Anyhow
Mandatory masks are not going to be a thing (medical exemptions)
Covid passports are not going to be a thing (privacy)

Covid will go away (again) as soon as it gets warmer out so people should stop being so paranoid and live their lives

Your post was simple to understand and simply inaccurate.

You did not say how big the 125 + is, did you. The size of the droplet is the bottom line. That way we know whether the mask blocks it or not, which is what the discussion is about, that is, are masks effective. Just saying 125 + is useless. We need to know how big the + is.

Talk about "over the head" and "foolish".

So once again, the bottom line is that masks filter to 0.3 microns and virus containing droplets are 1 micron or more. Therefore masks are effective at reducing the transmission of the covid virus. Case closed.

So that means you admit there was no spike in Peel. Thanks.

The data shows a consistent growth curve which means either you don't know what a spike is or you don't care about accuracy.
Oh cripes splitting hairs or what.......

They have 1/3 the pop of Toronto. And the same number of cases. Thats a spike imo. When one region jumps ahead on a per capita basis thats a spike. Stop playing word games.

Why are you being a Covid denier?

Probably cause some people are still idiots and aren't doing it
Dont you find it funny that ONLY non mask wearers are sick????

Dont you find it especially funny that no matter where you go, EVERYONE has to wear a mask?

Hmmm, 2 questions that only Libtards and their totalitarian govts have answers for???

Maybe the DIRTY GTA residents need to be locked up for 100 days?

How do you figure?

A mask does not prevent covid
I have said that multiple times (despite your attempting to cherry pick what you like)

You made some nonsense claim about sneeze / cough / spit "droplets" and I said it was caused by aerosols

You asked for an example and I gave you a rather clear cut example of how a cars exhaust works and how your mask does jack shit to prevent you breathing it in

If you prefer I can edit 1st post to say "aerosol droplets" but I think that is pretty much implied to most normal people (actually again, it was YOU who claimed I did not understand how an aerosol works; there is NO science source anywhere that refers to "aerosol droplets" I can find... the rest of the world says aerosol and the educated ones understand)
No one said wearing a mask 'prevented' COVID...the experts say it slowed the spread.

Nothing in that article says what you claimed. You claimed "the EXPERT doctors also told us to wear masks during sex". But rather than this one solitary doctor telling people to do so, the article merely claims she is saying to "consider" doing so:

"...'consider using a mask' during sexual activity..."

That's just one doctor in one country in the world. What about the millions of other doctors & some 200 other countries. You've provided - nothing - in that regard to support your claim - your generalization - that "the EXPERT doctors also told us to wear masks during sex".

You only named one doctor, yet claimed multiple expert doctors supported your view: "the EXPERT doctors also told us to wear masks during sex".

I never disputed anything, but asked you to name the doctors: Can you name these doctors you refer to? How many said that? Even one? How many experts didn't say that?

Of course you didn't answer those questions & also don't even know the answers.

LOL. Ditto to you.

Wrong. I was already aware of Tam speaking on the subject.

So you do have an issue with stop signs & red lights?

Do you also have personal issues with stop signs & a rant re red lights, lol.

Sure, just what the world needs. More violence & lawbreakers. That says a lot about you.

Ill bite on the first post.

Why is this a "Solitary" doctor not good enough an EXPERT for you now when it doesnt fit your argument? I thought WE should follow and listen to doctors and scientists?

If you listen carefully, which you dangers to society dont do, ALL health "Experts" make RECOMMENDATONS. Please look up the definition of the wrod.

Secondly, these EXPERTS arent ELECTED officials therefore, DONT run the province or country.

Our eected take ADVICE from these EXPERTS and determine if they should follow the RECOMMENDATION or not.

Hamilton went AGAINST the recommendation last week to NOT shut down.

Thank you.

Did you seriously report a guy for insulting you while calling him a "fucking clown"?
Sounds silly and childish, right?

Welcome to TERB where that is the norm when you liberals feelings get hurt with strong language.

Gee, I thought we were men here? I see we're simply not.

To clarify, it was reported first THEN reacted to. If you look at the time stamp, I didnt react first. I simply replied to the key board warrior.

The way mods favor the sissy's here, I figured I will get the ban regardless so why not go guns a blazin???

What argument?

I haven't commented on whether or not i think her idea to "consider" using a mask during sexual intercourse is one i think people should "consider" let alone do. Though i did point out that she is just one of many health experts in the world. So if you want to "follow and listen to doctors and scientists" you might want to consider that listening to just one doctor's suggestion is rather limited.

As to her suggestion to "consider" using a mask during sex, do you have any reason to think that is not good advice?
