The Ilya twins, Kovalchuk & Bryzgalov.Still the worst contract. Cap or no cap.
Brad Richards, Mike Richards.
The list of buyout deals goes on and on.

Personally, I don't think JT91's deal is bad (at least not yet).John Tavares GP: 163 Goals: 79 Assists: 85 Points: 164
Mitch Marner GP: 318 Goals: 91 Assists: 227 Points: 318
I wouldn't say Tavares is the Leafs worst contract when he's a point-per-game player just like Marner and they both make almost the same $$$$$.
That would be another way of saying it.You mean the only year in his career he ever scored 40 was when he played with Marner?
Different points in their career to compare. 11 million for Tavares looks too much. He should carry a line with 35 to 40 a year. His 5 on 5 stats aren't good. Tavares was a coveted free agent, looks to be in the 8 to 9 range realistically.John Tavares GP: 163 Goals: 79 Assists: 85 Points: 164

Karlsson had been a Shark a full season before they signed him to the contract. Also, karlsson probably signed right around the time of the sens playoff run when he was incredible so San Jose or any team would have predicted this rapid decline.
I meant to say would not have predicted his decline.Karlsson had been a Shark a full season before they signed him to the contract.
Apparently, that $1.2mm eats up $1.2mm of cap space as well.Leafs are still paying Phil Kessel $1.2 mil a season.
It ends in 2022.Leafs are still paying Phil Kessel $1.2 mil a season.
Aren't the Leafs still paying Dave Clarkson?Leafs are still paying Phil Kessel $1.2 mil a season.
Clarkson's contract ended last year...I think Columbus picked up some of it.Aren't the Leafs still paying Dave Clarkson?
Columbus took all of it.Clarkson's contract ended last year...I think Columbus picked up some of it.
