One of my summer jobs was working in a camping park for the Lands and Forest. We had morons that chased a black bear to hand feed it a sandwich. It scratched his hand and the bear had to be put down as per park rules. The worst fear you had in the wild is to find yourself between a mother and her cub yet somebody watching this video would be inclined to run up and hug the cub.

A morbid streak in me is the scenario in this video when mon leaves the cubs with her to go out and forage then returns with a dead hiker to feed the kids.

Just watched this one recently. This guy cracked the code to how indigenous people co existed with grizzlies for thousands of years. Very interesting. 50 years of living closely with them and never came close to being attacked. Earn their trust. Show them respect and they reciprocate. Not including the Zoo , the only bear I've ever seen had a long beard and was wearing leather chaps walking down Yonge Street.

Yeah, that woman is terrible at risk assessment. Her chances of getting harmed goes up as the risk goes up (Darwin's Law). Not all risks are equal.
