Not unless Sid wants to go.Remember what happened to Gretzsky?
Those were different times. He was sold by Pocklinton for 15 million profit and to help the league grow the game in LA. If Pitt is smart they should definitely trade Crosby but not for the same reason as Gretz. Always trade when the return will help more than it'll hurt. Not this year but when Pitts needs to do a rebuild he should go. I would compare it more to the Sundin situation. Not Gretz.Remember what happened to Gretzsky?
...as player-coach and GM.I see a scenario when Sid is in his mid to late 30's and the Pens are not making playoffs they become sellers and a contending team gets Sid as a rent a player for a playoff run, only for Sid to return to the Pens the next season...
No as the stick boy. Though be it, the highest paid stick boy in NHL history....as player-coach and GM.
Joe Mauer.Funny because I was thinking of modern day athletes who have spent their entire career with one team, and the most recent one that comes to mind is Kobe Bryant, but I was thinking Crosby and Ovey have a chance too.
I totally agree with your "correct answer" seeing the way sports are influenced mainly by business decisions these days!Although it is a very hypothetical question and nobody could possible know for sure, I have the correct answer.
Maybe. Anything is possible.
Has he officially retired?Joe Mauer.
Who is David Robertson?Has he officially retired?
Tim Duncan and David Robertson as well.
How the hell neither one of us mentioned Derek Jeter is beyond me.
Actually, there are a lot.Funny because I was thinking of modern day athletes who have spent their entire career with one team, and the most recent one that comes to mind is Kobe Bryant, but I was thinking Crosby and Ovey have a chance too.
I misread Robertson as Robinson.David Robinson was/is The Admiral.
Actually, there are a lot.

Does anyone think that Brady will play anywhere else? Or Eli or Phillip Rivers to a lesser extent.
Well if you want to start from the 90's then it is a very small window of time. It would basically be guys who retired within the last 20 years. Some of those guys I wouldn't consider modern day. Terry Bradshaw....Mike Bossy...those guys are from the 70's-early 80's.
