Does he seem to get a bit carried away? Sure. But him unfollowing the ladies on twitter is not a solution to their complaints.

Why isn't un-following a solution? Nothing said here or on Twitter is going to change that behavior regardless of how simple shutting off a phone is.

Unfollowing will have a maximum of zero impact on the number of times the phone rings. It's like burying your head in the sand.

Turning off the phone has a chance to possibly be helpful.

Why isn't it the solution? I personally don't want clients who will call me at 3am when I clearly post my available hours everywhere. And if I have a rough night because I forgot to shut down my phone and got woken up when I have to, say, get up at 5am for an early morning call, I reserve my right to post a tactfully worded tweet about it. But as it has been pointed out several times, he still hasnt produced this supposed tweet and his implication that ALL girls are ALWAYS posting things like this is a bit over the top, no?

If you unfollow, you won't see the offending posts in the first place. If you're actively searching Twitter for these posts then it's your own fault.

The offending escorts will need to follow the advice of turning off the phone for anything to change and they have no reason to do so.

I don't think its the fact that they are being called at 3am thats the problem, what providers get upset about is the sheer lack of consideration a lot of potential clients have for providers. would you call your mechanic at 3am? no probably not, regardless if the phone is off or on.

What providers get upset about is male entitlement.

If you wouldnt like to be bothered at 3am then dont bother people at 3am.

Also 99.9% or providers dont talk on the phone to clients and make that very obvious in their ads and website. So if I had that plastered all over my website and some asshole still took it upon himself to call me in the middle of the night then.....yeah i would probably yell at you too lol

While I agree with pretty much what you've said, I will say this. If I called my mechanic at 3am, it would go to his/her VM on a separate business line. So guys like myself and a few others see no reason why an SP would not use a separate phone and switch it off when she doesn't want to be contacted. Even using a single phone is fine but either turn it off or be prepared for a possible late night/early morning call from some asshole. That's a potential side effect for those who claim they need to leave it on for emergency purposes.

It's about as simple and effective as him unfollowing ALL these women posting this on Twitter. Lol.

But the point overall is who cares? If the lady wants to complain, let her. If she CANT turn off or mute her phone for some reason, she has every right to complain about 3am phone calls.

You are correct - she can complain. But it doesn't solve the problem in any way and it's one thing to complain about something you really can't change (e.g.the government) versus something where you can easily take steps to solve the problem. It would be like me complaining about an ugly plant on my property - I could very well just remove it.

Yes unfollowing doesn't change things for the ladies but since the OP seems a little incensed over seeing all the complaints, unfollowing or avoiding Twitter is a solution to his bitterness. I definitely think he gets carried away though as this is something so trivial.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who made this moment possible. It just goes to show that one small thread can raise awareness and start a movement. I have never been more proud.

If someone doesn't like getting calls at night. Set your phone to quiet mode/do not disturb mode. Phone still works, but no rings from outsiders.

I set mine as do not disturb from midnight to 7 am.

Not sure why it's that hard to set.

Me too..do not disturb option is great.
Also signing out of the text app when done work for the day works as well especially if u live with others.
The alarm will still work if the do not disturb is on.
Also when u sign back in the messages and missed calls will still be there.

To be honest, I think LT is not really as carried with this whole issue away as his posts seem to imply. Call it a bit of mini-trolling, if you will. Just trying to see what kinds of reactions he can elicit, but no real malice intended. He's probably achieved what he was looking for and having a bit of a chuckle but it may be a tricky game he is playing.

Me too, BUT I make exceptions for calls or certain messages in case of family emergencies. I'm not an escort so I normally don't get calls during the night.

I see sp’s flipping out about this all the time on Twitter. They are incensed that guys are so rude and inconsiderate about calling them at weird hours.

I don’t see the big deal. It’s called: Turn off your cell phone while you’re sleeping FFS.

Then call/text the guy back in the morning...or don’t...whatever!

Easy fix. Problem solved. Not a big deal.

Because often times the hours of operation and the phone number are listed in the same ad. Calling outside of those hours indicates that they didn’t bother to read the ad. And if they couldn’t do that what else will they not bother to do? Shower? Show up? Who knows... Those same guys will also post comments online complaining that an escort they keep calling at 3 in the morning never answers her phone but will never indicate the hours in which they are calling her. Wonder why she didn’t answer at 3am when her ad says she’s finished working at 12am...

I personally put my phone on silent or do not disturb. So I don’t have to deal with the late callers. Which yes you’re right, this is what those ladies should do instead of complaining. If I turn my phone off some people actually assume my number is out of service. I know, weird. So I never turn my phone off and would rather my phone ring out so they can leave a message. Win-Win.

I hope you feel better! Maybe it's therapeutic? I just know i've tried several times just doing basic maintenance on twitter and posting schedules and it's like crickets... asking poll questions, posting stuff about what i'm doing, or talking with other SPs about current topics seems to bring in more discussion and engagement and lead to clients who would have never booked me into wanting a booking. Same with posting in the forum here, some clients book me because of seeing my posts here and never would not likely have booked just from my terb ad alone. I work off of prebookings and not really same day appointments so slowly having potential clients get to know who want to prebook me seems to work best.

I agree whole heartedly! Let me just say a quick story.

One of my knights in shining armour (regular and loyal client as well as a dear friend) watched my online activity for weeks, maybe even months before contacting me because he doesn’t normally like to see ladies under 30. If I had just posted pics and schedules he wouldn’t have been able to observe my personality. Once he finally contacted me, and eventually booked we’ve been friends ever since!

I get a lot of clients that contact me saying, “I decided to contact you because of [whatever particular post] and it really got me intrigued.” It’s heart warming for me when they see me for ME (good and bad) and not just a pretty picture.
