This could be a total landslide for Harris a she is not only edging ahead in the battleground states she is rapidly catching up in Texas and Florida

The GOP lost the 2018 midterms, the White House in 2020 and had an underwhelming showing in the 2022 election cycle and Trump won by a razor's edge in 2016

What Harris has done is give America an alternative between Trump and Biden which should capture the majority of the swing votes for Harris

Trump is up to his usually unethical agenda by bribing Kennedy with promising he will release JFK assassination papers if he wins and Kennedy is a crazy conspiracy freak

Of the three losers running two are down, first Biden now Kennedy one to go

This is the only Kennedy that matters in this election. The guy scorched Kamala and the democrats in his speech today. A pure masterpiece

that old hag Kamala is going down.
I'd be surprised this lasts through the weekend as anything the news talks about unless Trump knifes Vance in the back and makes RFK Jr his Veep.

I call bullshit! You were never a Democrat because you are too hard-core far right ever to have dipped a toe in the mushy middle.
Nah.
There are lots of people who were vaguely Democrats but valued white maleness more.
As they felt targeted, they break, and when they break they break HARD right.

Here are a couple of articles about it from last year.

I also doubted him, but if you look at the timing he gives for it, it's plausible. He claims a Hilary vote.

You think I’m proud to admit I voted for Hilary and was a democrat? It’s fucking embarassing. I wish I could say I was smart enough to see this coming.
Having to vote for a black man and then a woman and not even being respected for it?
That tracks.
He cites Peter Thiel, so you can see how far right he's gone.

Peter Thiel said it well a few days ago. America is bad but then you look at the other westernized nations and see how bad they’ve gotten. It’s too late for you guys in Canada I think but not too late for us to turn it around.
This fits with that particular type of former Democratic or "leftist" voter who breaks right.

It's the kind who post this meme and think they are making a smart point.

If either or both of those ever break blue, it will be a massive EC landslide, but I still don't see those as really in play.

What Harris has done is give America an alternative between Trump and Biden which should capture the majority of the swing votes for Harris
Not so much swing voters as "people who really didn't want a rerun of the 2020 election" but basically I agree - a whole cohort who was not likely to be implicated has checked in and sided heavily with Harris. The problem is we just aren't sure how many those people are and where they are located.

I dunno.
If he starts converting in 2016 post-election, 2017 proper, that's 7 years.
Plenty of time to get that crazy down the rabbit hole.

Remember that converts to a cause are often more zealous.

Harris has the post convention bump in the polls. However a couple of things to consider...

The celebrity star studded affair the Democratic Convention was great for states like CA & NY. Not great for battleground States like MI, PA, VA, NC. Celebrities represent Hollywood "Elitist" and folks who live in small cities in battleground states like Harrisburg PA or Lansing MI do not like Hollywood's influence on traditional values and feel these Hollywood Elitists think they in rural America or "Fly Over Country" are stupid.
Mainstream Media (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, etc) all said polls show Hillary was going to beat Trump. What happened. Media showed biased against Republicans, religious people and Trump... So when Pollsters asked questions... Many Trump supports stayed quiet to avoid the backlash. I remember when Trump won... Michael Moore going on MSNBC and said the news networks did not see their own bias because they don't understand rural America... That has not changed.
Harris is from California and has to find a way to connect with middle America to win the Battleground States. She has to find a way to connect with the rural or suburban mom & dad who are big on family, supporting American jobs, and take their kids to church on Sundays. PA, NC, FL, VA, MI, OH are all filled with these folks and these States are key for her to win.

I do think Harris can pull it off... Trump is a wildcard and the Dem's have to keep him off balance and have him talking trash. There is still time for Trump to regroup and come back. Harris has to keep talking middle class and start talking about family values and the importance of family.

Everyone knows the lgbtq and the woke crowd is the crazy rabbit hole. I could point to a thousand videos proving that point. Most women would switch over if it weren’t for abortion rights. That would only leave the bottom rung of society on your side.

sorry guys, teaming up is cute but you two are clowns. Can’t take your little charts and emojis seriously.

The Convention was also far from just about being coastal elites and Hollywood celebrities.
Hard to say how it read to people until we start getting feedback.
Mainstream Media (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, etc) all said polls show Hillary was going to beat Trump. What happened.
She beat Trump by a few million votes.
The polls were pretty accurate.
The issue was slim victories in some swing states and the disaster that is the Electoral College.
Media showed biased against Republicans, religious people and Trump... So when Pollsters asked questions... Many Trump supports stayed quiet to avoid the backlash.
The "shy Trump voter" theory is an interesting one and hard to prove.
The polls were more or less accurate.
There is lots of evidence it was the undecided/double-dislike people breaking for Trump last minute. A lot of that may have been from the Comey letter. Hold the election a week later and she likely wins. That said, there were also lots of voters who didn't normally vote who came out for Trump, and those people are weighted against in the polls.
It was a razor thin race which means LOTS of things played into it.
I remember when Trump won... Michael Moore going on MSNBC and said the news networks did not see their own bias because they don't understand rural America... That has not changed.
The big elite media absolutely doesn't understand rural America.
There is a lot to question about what effect that had on the election. It doesn't seem to have affected the polling very much.
It does affect a lot of the bullshit nonsense the media covering an election talks about, though.
Which she seems to be doing well.
Walz does that exceptionally well.
Vance so far seems to be absolutely shit at it.
Trump is bad at it as well, but connects to them on the "We are racists and want to not feel bad about that" for those who are into that.

I do think Harris can pull it off... Trump is a wildcard and the Dem's have to keep him off balance and have him talking trash. There is still time for Trump to regroup and come back. Harris has to keep talking middle class and start talking about family values and the importance of family.
The Dems have been the only party talking family values and supporting families for about 20 years.
That's not where the battle is really being fought.

Does it seem strange to anyone else that the top 3 GOP are all deranged democrats who turned on their own party and are anti republican ?

Being Canadian I really don't care.
We have enough problems with the 2 coalition clowns running Canada. Why worry about an election you have no say in.
