the other day when you listed off the cities you were in you forgot paris.
I was listing off places gangs of youths had made comments about either me, or other women. Paris is a staring city, but most often not vocally rude.

Closest to rude is the artists trying to convince you to get a street sketch or painting. LOL

I sort of do not remember rude behaviour in most cities. I was shocked to hear it in London. I do not remember that being there when I was growing up.

i thought you said he was good with money. paying to ship a boat around the world is an incredible waste of money. he could buy boats in every place he goes for the amount it would cost him to ship it back and forth.

Clothing, hair and the like are choices you make. Behavior patterns tend to cluster. [tend to... doesn't mean always]If you can't judge a person by the choices they make, WTF.
You would judge a person if they would... oh I don't know get a Tattoo of some guys name on her face wouldn't you. Most people on this thread would make assumptions about someone dressed all in black with black lipstick and the like.

That being said, I dress like a slob and much like "The dude" I really don't give a fuck if people make snide remarks.

I love how Loki has turned yet another thread into a thread about his fake wife and so much fail.

Somebody here has never been to Paris.

Paris and France is well know for its rudeness, it is considered a cultural trait and a bit of a problem.

Why would I care? LOL

My biggest concern right now is trying to find a water proof costume for Tuesday.

Why would you bother to take the time to write a fifty line post to refute my suspicion your yachting escapades are just Loki posting his fantasy?

I've actually done every one of the passages you mention and these passages are ALL consuming. Especially the North Atlantic. By a newbie couple with a pregnant wife! Experienced, hobbyist yachtsmen prepare for this passage for years. You don't just putter around looking for icebergs and pop in around Ireland etc.

And nobody takes their boat TO London FOR November-December! And especially with a pregnant wife.

The passage from Miami to "The Panhandle" takes a couple weeks.

Your story may pass muster with your own mind, but not with anyone who has any knowledge of the subject matter. Too funny!

Not really. It costs about $30K to ship a 60' motor yacht from Port Everglades FL to Europe. Problem is... none of the yacht transport outfits have ships running between London and Florida this time of year. Why? Because people have already moved their yachts from the Med to the Caribbean in Sept. and NOBODY moves private yachts from the UK ANYWHERE in the winter. It is no a spur of the moment decision.

by my count she has moved the boat 2 or 3 times. i could be wrong. 60k can go a long way into buying a nice boat i would assume, i really have no idea. it would seem like it makes sense to me to fly and rent an apartment or hotel for the week or 2 instead of moving the boat. could he just not buy boats in every place he flies to so he has a never ending suppl of boats ?

I am in the middle of the 1 pm nap and have noting better to do. And exposing you as a fake is rather fun.

hun, if you say so. We did it in good weather, in small steps so we could stay in port, and found it relatively easy. Maybe it depends on the boat and if she is designed for this type of expedition cruising :). LOL A reasonable sized trawler with satellite weather and iceberg updates that avoids bad weather seems to do it easily.

And nobody takes their boat TO London FOR November-December! And especially with a pregnant wife.
hun, that is an idiotic statement. Do I need to repeat why we did it? Were you unable to read my last post? And get your dates right. :) We went over in the fall.

Who goes to London for December?

1) Parents with a baby who is due in December
2) Parents who want to be doubly certain their child has British citizenship.
3) Parents who think cutting the chance by almost 50% of their baby not making it to 2 months, makes having it there worthwhile.
4) Pregnant women who think being close to their mothers is important
5) Women who like the idea of having their child in the same hospital they were born.
6) Women who want to have a baby shower with most of their friends she grew up with
7) People who spend a LONG time getting there in nice weather and loved exploring icebergs. Ireland, Whales, etc.
8) Husbands who have had a life time dream of being a sea gypsy.
9) Me !
The passage from Miami to "The Panhandle" takes a couple weeks.
hun, are you bonkers? 433.54 nautical miles to Destin as the crow flies. The approximately estimated travel/road distance can be around 498.57 nautical miles to 541.93 nautical miles. And cruising at 10 knots it is well under 60 hrs. What planet are you pretending to know about?

Your story may pass muster with your own mind, but not with anyone who has any knowledge of the subject matter. Too funny!
Well it also reflects my life :) Sorry it is inconvenient for you to believe it.

$60k doesn't buy a decent ski boat today. But otherwise, yes anyone who simply wants to calve in London would not tote their boat there. They would rent something on land.

Her/his story is a fantasy.

Well no, this is the only time it was shipped. But it was a LOT more than $60k. And a nice expedition trawler that can do crossings safely is expensive. I was foolish enough to fill up the fuel tank and it maxed out my credit card. LOL

This was just the simplest way to have the boat where we want it to be for February, ,the spring and then the run back to Canada etc.

Hun, try to focus...... Lord Loki has had this "sea life" desire for ages. He always wanted to do it. I am making my husband happy. He broke down and put us up for the last month in a hotel for safety and sent the tub off to Florida. I do not care how he did it. I do not know if he used a broker or what-ever. It went on a cargo ship as deck cargo. A hired crew brought it up to meet us in Destin on the pan-handle. WTF why would I not want to make him happy and let him have his life long wish? Money has no value if you are not enjoying it. Simple.

Oh and I got to eat at Simpson's a few times a week and remember going there as a child. All in all a good experience for me and it made him happy. So...... fuck you (in a polite way). We can go anywhere any time we want for as long as we want for about 4 years. Who cares if the tourists do not do it where and when we do?

This all is starting to make sense! Now I understand the "foreign income" are royalties!
