May I first just say thanks for not asking for only one...lol

Only because I couldn't pick just one.

I had to leave off Bob Dylan and he totally changed the way rock songs were written. Lyrics became much more important and he changed the rhyming and cadence of songs. Maybe because I learned a lot of his music in retrospect, not in real time like I did with the others.
