Sounds a lot like Johnny's. Back in the day I used to get a kick out the old guy yelling at customers asking for mayo on their burgers.A family of angry, surly Greek brothers serving up burgers...what's not to love.

LOL same thing at Steer Inn Burgers. The Steer Inn guys once you got to know them were jokers though too. My friends and I used to go clubbing and then stop at Steer Inn for Burgers and Fries and we were all dressed up in dress clothes and leather jackets and the two brothers who would work nights would say we looked like the mafia lmao. I miss those guys.Sounds a lot like Johnny's. Back in the day I used to get a kick out the old guy yelling at customers asking for mayo on their burgers.
Everyone in this thread keeps on talking about Apache...but one late night I tried it and didn't like it. Different tastes I guess.Apache and holy chuck's...
If you're hitting chuck's make sure to go to the one
at yonge and st clair.. The one in vaughan is no where near the quality it should be
After reading your comment I realized every time i've had apache it was after a heavy night of partying. This just might be the case of anything greasy tasting great to prevent puking.Everyone in this thread keeps on talking about Apache...but one late night I tried it and didn't like it. Holy Chuck's is amazing, I have eaten there a couple of times. The nutella shake is awesome. After reading your comment I realized every time i've had apache it was after a heavy night of partying. This just might be the case of anything greasy tasting great to prevent puking.
I will maintain that yonge and st clair's holy chucks burgers are the best in the GTA...
Tasteless may have been a bit strong, but without the condiments, it would not have had much flavour, unlike the burgers at the Priest! I know this was a popular spot with the locals, but I never went back. That is probably the thing you might want to focus on...What? Tasteless? What did you have?
Ah, yes, Mr Steer has the best steak & eggs going. When in Mtl, it's a must visit for me for breakfast...This is not a hijack, just a reminiscence.
When I lived in Montreal I used to love the burgers at Mr. Steer on St. Catherine Street. Their curly fries were great too.
The main reason I'm posting this is that they used to cook then to order regarding "well-done-ness", even after the ruling came down from on high to cook them at least "medium" (no pink at all) to prevent unfriendly bacteria problems. I ate them "medium rare", delicious and juicy, for years and never had a problem!
Whaaaaat??? Nutella shake....I'on my way slurpHoly Chuck's is amazing, I have eaten there a couple of times. The nutella shake is awesome.
It's pretty good dude!! It's very rich though.Whaaaaat??? Nutella shake....I'on my way slurp

Dude,We are very aware that good burgers can be made at home...but go post that in the cooking thread. This guy is asking where he can go to buy the best burger. If he wanted to know how to make a good burger, the thread would have been called "need advice on making burgers from scratch".
Dude,
You are a real Herbert.

If we go by your rules people would only be able to post places to get good burgers. In post 5 someone has already posted that the best burgers are made at home.
Maybe you can make a few recommendations and suggestions instead of doing the George Costanza pretend to be annoyed and look important ploy.
I made my point, I'm moving on.Herb,
I think we can settle this by checking the regs in the rule book.
Wadda ya say?
