I watched the first couple episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds last night and it seems like it's going to be pretty good.

I really enjoyed Anson Mount's stint on Discovery and I'm glad to see him back in the role of Captain Pike.

Can you get Discovery + shows on HBO, comic-actor Sebastian Maniscalco has a cooking show on the platform. He broke big playing Crazy Joe Gallo on Netflix The Irishman.

Hey look Bert Kreischer isn't topless...Will Smith lost his chance to fuck him up the ass.

I am back to watching Asian dramas
And I never stopped
Mostly Korean in my case.
Again my life
Killer's shopping list
From now showtime.

I am waiting for the ultimate KDrama.

A 9 Tailed Fox comes to earth from outer space. His Foxness keeps his vamperism and zombieism in check.
For most of his first 1000 years on earth he was a Secret Agent. Later he left North Korean military service to move south where he managed to become the sole heir via adoption of a chaebol.
Despite being socially awkward an crippling social anxiety and having face blindness he managed to become a prosecuter by day and a doctor by night but spends his weekends with a team people who help a Grim Reaper go after evil spirits. They meet every Saturday morning at a Subway. He ends up falling in love with the Grim Reaper even though all of their friends are opposed because reasons. Eventually after one of their teammates gets run over by a Truck driven by someone wearing a baseball cap they end up getting married and the love helps cure him of his social anxiety and face blindness. After of course numerous product placements, wrist grabbing and piggy back rides and trips to the hospital.

On it.

When I heard that Marvel was making a She-Hulk show I thought it was a woke joke. Tatiana Maslany is involved, she's freakishly talented, I have to take it seriously. It actually looks promising unlike the mendacity of Wandavision.

Not into Seth MacFarlane's stuff, The Orville isn't any different.

Is The Umbrella Academy worth watching? Elliot Page is in it, he a great actor regardless of gender, Ellen Page made Inception a classic. Tom Hopper is a better actor than Alan Ritchson (Reacher) but not at The Big Coocozz's (David Harbour - Stranger Things) level.

Only HBO produces better shows than FX.

A show about a restaurant in Chicago came to my attention. The Bear is fronted by Jeremy Allen White (Shameless - Lip Gallagher) written buy Christopher Storer.

Like The Queen's Gambit, which benefited from consultation from Grand Masters. The Bear has two acclaimed chefs consulting, the creators wife Courtney Storer and His Excellency Matty Matheson. Shows about restaurants are very hit and miss, this has an audience score of 8.5/10.

Third season has gone serious. So far every show has been a winner.

I've been streaming The Office, Steve Carrell is a genius comic-actor. He hooks you in right from the first few minutes of the very first episode. He walks into the office, says good morning to his receptionist then does the slow motion sequence from The Six Million Dollar Man going to his office. The receptionist doesn't have the slightest clue what he's doing.
Have you seen the British/Ricky Gervais version? I think that he's incredible. It's written for him, by him. Carrell is good, but not as good.

Once I've finished Stranger Things, I'm gonna take blind shot with Borgen. I know very little about it.

I checked out a teaser for Rush, it looks like a trial run for New Amsterdam. That happens, the mistakes HBO made with Rome were lessons learned for Game of Thrones.

So far it's been mainly comedy with just slight hints of the horror, I'm expecting more of the later as the show progresses. Lucifer's Death Mask is not nearly scary enough, that has to improve as well.

Excellent clip/song

Damn - been watching Season 2 of Stranger Things, but She-Hulk, The Bear and The Old Man look solid. I love this thread - thanks everyone.

Jeremy Allen White was still a teen when Shameless started shooting.

Like boot camp for military films, the actors had to train in professional kitchens before the show shot. JAW went to Culinary College to understand his role better. Some may not like what I'm about to type next but it's true: anyone can learn how to fire a gun, creating the perfect veal scallopini - that's hard.

His Excellency Matty Matheson has a role in the show.
