I like 23 degrees C. Just curious, since the temperature for apartments in Ontario is supposed to be 21 degrees C, minimum.

23 degrees C. for me. The older I get the warmer I like it. Even bought a cardigan sweater last year to wear around the house! :geek:

I changed the filter on my central air humidifier today and turned on the water supply to it, as when the air gets dry my skin starts to itch. Time to resume using the moisturizing lotion after my showers...

I keep my stat at 18C in heating season and 22C in cooling season. Unless I'm away for a few days then I'll drop it down to 15.

Is this because you are trying to save energy? Because you are wasting all the energy you saved when the heat runs for 45 minutes to get from 15 back up to 22. Just pic the temp you like and set it to permanent hold.
Not according to this:

I presume that those of you who set it at below 20, are trying to save money, and need to wear two layers of clothing in order to feel comfortable?

No. I typically run mine at 19 or 20 because I prefer things to be on the cooler side, maybe because I'm fairly active. Heat and humidity give me headaches, lowers mental acuity and makes me feel sluggish. 19 to 20 is perfect for me, and doesn't require two layers of clothing.

19/20. Anything higher is just throwing money out the window. You need to be wearing a sweater and slippers with sweatpants. It adds up.

Nope, just more comfortable when it's cooler in the house.

Wow... am I the only wimp around here? In the cold season, I usually set my thermostat at 24... maybe 23 at night.
If it ever gets to 21 inside when I forget to turn the heat back on, it really starts to bother me.
And someone is always home during the day, so I can't set my thermostat down during the day either.

You guys who like it at <20 are really brave!

That wouldn't have worked with my ex when she was going through menopause. When I'd complain about her lowering the thermostat to 18 she'd just snap at me, saying "put on a sweater, and use an extra blanket..."

I turn the heat up to 24C at 7pm, and then turn it off at 7am. We lose about half a degree an hour in the day, even less if it is sunny. The upside is we only pay for electricity at the lowest rate.

I still have my AC on, lol. In the summer my thermostat is set at 74°F. In the winter I set my thermostat at 70°F.
