Wow... am I the only wimp around here? In the cold season, I usually set my thermostat at 24... maybe 23 at night.
If it ever gets to 21 inside when I forget to turn the heat back on, it really starts to bother me.
And someone is always home during the day, so I can't set my thermostat down during the day either.

You guys who like it at <20 are really brave!
I like it warm as well. Hotel rooms are usually set at 23-25. Because I’m often naked.

House is in F and that is set to 71-73 on average.

I don’t change it at night either. This is all the time temps.

My bedroom: 18C yr round. Regardless of the weather outside. I love it as cold as a meat locker for sleep.
Perfect temp to make girl want to have some fun if she wants to be warm all night. No headache excuse in your bedroom.

...e, saying "put on a sweater, and use an extra blanket..."
That's what I do. Heat stays pretty much off in the winter and AC off in the summer unless I'm having people over (live in a condo so I do get ambient heat - usually around 16C winter nights and 24C summer days). I see no reason to to heat 7000 ft^3 when it's just me.

I use an electric blanket at night, and on really cold nights a space heatier in my bedroom set at 20. During the day in winter, it's 20. Summer I have no AC except my bedroom.

If it's cold, just wear some extra cltohes and save money. In Japan, we don't even heat our houses at all in the winter. We just wear more clothes and electric blankets are common. We also use a "kotatsu" which is a small table that is heated under it, and a blanket tha goes over the frame and under the table top. However, this is probably not common anymore, since we have adaped western lifestyles.
