Strubs had been owned by Mrs Whyte's for several years so when Whytes went down so did Strubs. FYI, the Strubs you see in stores today are are made by a German company which bought the name and labeling rights during the bankruptcy proceeding. Sadly, they're terrible, nowhere close to the original Strubs. The closest I've found to the original Strubs recipe is Marty's Pickles. Marty is the grandson of the Strub's founder. Here's a link: https://martyspickles.ca/. You want the "Original Brine Dills."Mrs. Whyte's went bankrupt and are no longer made. Strub's are still around in some grocery stores.
Barberian's steakhouse(Toronto) does their pickling in house, and it's the closet I've tasted to Mrs. Whyte's. Here is a link from which you can order them.

Interesting. I mentioned in a previous post my current favourites are Bick's dill pickles with garlic. A close second are Chicago 58 pickles(I assume they are original brine).Strubs had been owned by Mrs Whyte's for several years so when Whytes went down so did Strubs. And yes, Strubs were my weakness. Could eat an entire jar at a sitting.
We listen and we don't judge lolCRACK
Now that's an interesting comment.A good friend of mine tried crack once, and he said I'm never doing it again, not because I didn't like it, but because I fucking LOVED IT!
Yeah, and it sort of showed me why it was addictive. He was a smart person! Now that's an interesting comment.
