Way back in 1957, as a young 16 year old, I bought the album by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, featuring songs like That'll Be The Day, and Maybe Baby. I think I mentioned before that I wore black rimmed eye glasses, had dark hair with a curly q on my forehead and ended up buying every LP he recorded since including ones he did as a solo.

Me too. Same story but 9 years younger. And except for the glasses and curly q.

Great album, there is a live version of I’m a Man from the Tanglewood festival on YouTube that’s fantastic. Sadly, IMHO they were never the same after the death of Terry Kath and again in my opinion some of the cheesy ballads they did in the 80s and 90s were awful.
Terry Kath is one of the most under-rated classic rock guitarists.


However, my own choice would be:
