BTW a non music album that really influenced me was Class Clown by George Carlin. Just tore down the bs facade of religion and life and really opened my eyes.
The first comedy album I bought was "The Button Down Mind Of Bob Newhart".

Best one I bought was Richard Pryor's "That N-word's Crazy!"
For Rush, I would pick Hemispheres. Especially the 2nd side starting with Circumstances and ending with La Villa Strangiato

Motörhead Motörhead. Kill em All by Metallica. I was in grade 10 when I first heard them both didn’t know what I was listening to at first but I knew I loved it and it made me want to fight.

As a side issue, don't you hate it when you hear a great song on radio or Youtube and it has been edited. Part cut out. Not talking about extended edition songs which are sometimes good.

For me it is very difficult to rank 2112, Moving Pictures, Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, and Subdivisions. They all had a massive influence on me. 2112 though was the beginning of my “Rush journey” and completely blew me away the first time I heard it.

Though it does little to dispel the myth / stereotype that Rush fans are a bunch of nerds who can’t get laid.
The Captain and Me by the Doobie Bros. I thought every song on it was a hit and I still play a couple of times a year.
Actually, now that you mention it... those K-Tel compilations gave me a taste for many bands and music genres and styles that I would otherwise not even know about.K-Tel Records
But this album by Teenage Head "Some Kinda Fun" reminds me of some of my best times as a teenager. Great parties, concerts and summertime hanging out and boating! Truly, some kinda fun! All from a good old local Canadian band that was, and remains, musically underappreciated.
Especially this song!!!!
