Thanks... I remember that they played for Houston and were part of "Phi Slamma Jamma"... but was Hakeem the #1 overall draft choice??

If not, who was the #1 that year..
1. Olaujowon
2. Bowie

Parker

FG% .464
3P % .337
FT% .755
AST 5.3
PPG 15.5

Which to me reads like a glimpse of his All Star future.

BTW - TJ Ford just completed his second year...

Ford

FG% .416
3P% .337
FT% .754
AST 6.6
PPG 12.2

...and I would say the two are not even close.

Now yes, TJ Ford might work on his shot and improve. But my guess is that since he could not shoot in college...and since the Bucks have pretty much given up on him getting better, an improved jump shot is not in his future.
Not even close? There bang on! Parker avg more points but For avg more assists. Ford is quicker. The Bucs didnt give up on him just like the Raps didnt give up on Charlie. The Bucs could afford to let Ford go because they had depth at that position.

How many years did Olajuwan play college..

If i remember correctly he was pick off a soccer field in Africa playing goalie...even more of a success story than AB i think. He had to learn the whole game and thrown into college ball right away.....no????

...46% and 15.5 PPG is close to 42% and 12 PPG???

What we are talking about here a guy who would have to take two more shots a game to produce the same results...or from another perspective, takes only three fewer shots to deliver a result 25% poorer.

Really, the proof will be in the pudding. My prediction is that Ford has a future of 12 and 6 with 42% shooting ahead of him...and in 2 years the Raptors will be talking about finding a point guard who can take the pressure off of Bosh

Bargnani's line looked decent......12 points, 28mins, 2 rebounds(still weak)...5-8 shooting..and 2-2 from 3 point line...BUT....

10 PERSONAL FOULS...????????

ME THINKS WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO DRAW IN SOME HOCKEY FANS THIS YEAR!!!!!

Never mind... found my answer.... Hakeem was #1 followed by Bowie and a guy named Michael
Sam Perkins and BARKley... So you have three hall of famers sandwiching two a pair of sams..
The other (future) Hall of Famer from the 1984 draft is John Stockton, taken by Utah with the 16th pick.
