Most defendants don't testify. From what I read he didn't testify because the questioning of him would not have been limited to this case but that they could ask him about a lot more. A no win situation.
Not to mention this was the first time this type of case was brought in New York where they used crimes passed the statures of limitations to prove another crime. There might be constitutional issue or due process issues. I don't know we will see.
They both committed campaign finance laws, except Hillary Was charged by the FEC but Trump wasn't. He was only charged by New York for campaign finance violations which were passed the statute of limitations which were then used to bump it up to the felony of the false business records. 1st time ever this has been done in New York. LOL

Donnie can't form a sentence without lying of he somehow managed to avoid perjury and contempt of court he would have gotten a hung jury. Only 1 of the 12 jurors would have to believe his lies are true. His defense team was horrible and lost right out of the gate in the opening arguments when they said they will prove that donnies little mushroom dick never went inside stormy. Cohen had Trump on tape and David pecker was the only credible witness who also said trumps intent on killing these stories was to win the election

The real problem is how Trump is framing it. First, he's framing it that he was not allowed to defend himself. Bullshit. He chose not to. Or, tried to do it where he could lie freely and not be cross examined (outside the courtroom or on truth social). Second, he's framing it that his witnesses were not allowed to testify. Bullshit again. Nothing stopped his attorneys from putting them on the stand. Third, the jury was rigged. Bullshit. The jury is selected by both legal teams. Not the prosecution. Fourth, he's framing the "prosecution gets to go last" as a bias. Buloshit. It is standard in all US state courts. In fact, NY is the most defendant friendly state as the majority of USA states have the order of closing arguments prosecution, defense, prosecution. NY has only defense, prosecution.
So he's actively misleading his supporters once again to make himself a victim.
