The bolded comment is really off. There isn't one player from the BCHL or "Academies" that is of the caliber needed for this team.Our best players are not playing in Hockey Canada programs. They're in the BCHL, academies, etc. Once you make the decision to get better training, Hockey Canada bars you from international competition.

The US hasn’t won an Olympic gold in 44 years, a World Championship in 64 years, have won 2 of the last 7 World Junior Championships compared to Canada’s 4 in the same time and Canada has close to double the players in the NHL.

As to point 4, I imagine that there are older and more physically mature players in the college ranks.4: NCAA hockey is way ahead of the CHL.
