They did...they have no choice...hard to swallow the pill that they were wrong to encamp there and bother the daily lives of real students...they did resist at first and said they will leave on their own terms but the cops told them they will get removed by force...the had the common sense to avoid unnecessary force...
Maybe the pro Hamas crowd can tell us why the need for this wall...Egypt wall them in pretty darn good...

Of course they had a choice. They could have stayed and made a spectacle of themselves with being chained up to trees and tactics other protesters make when they are ordered by a court order to cease their protest.
You know, if nobody gives anyone credit for any positive efforts, then we are all just part of an ongoing conflict that will never stop. Take the small victories.

They did the right thing in the end. Played it all out through proper legal channels and accepted the loss. A very North American thing to do, and civilized. I assume they will continue to pursue this legally.
They are not cowards. That is absolutely wrong to say. Several would be on camera and exposing themselves to various reprisals. I don't agree with them but protests aren't personal. They are, in many cases genuine in their conviction just misguided in their support.

Strategically they played it really smart...Violence and the necessity to use force was never going to help the optics of their cause.
There was, I believe, the threat of expulsion as well. That investment loss was probably a deciding factor for students. The professional agitator, with little backing, saw the writing on the wall.
The pity party has ran it's course...the City gave them enough time to talk among themselves and an easy way out of this situation without any harm done...They knew this the easy way out, they were able to save face and tell their followers to "fight another day" Their protests will not stop Israel from pursuing Hamas...

But, if you praise the illegal protesters because they didn't leave a mess, do you think that the murderer should be praised for cleaning up the blood. "I guess that murderer isn't so bad. He tried to clean up. It should be acknowledged." Maybe he deserves some lenience in his sentencing?
