A number of Israeli captives held in the Gaza Strip – including women and the elderly – would also be released in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israel, and humanitarian aid would flow into Gaza again.

No chickening out at all. I checked the numbers and all of your hypotheses regarding Gaza AND me could not be further from the truth.
The ratio of military to population in Canada and Gaza has it that the percentage of military to population is 50 times more in Gaza than it is in Canada. All it takes is logical reasoning, which we've agreed you are very poor at. There is no way in the world that on a per capita basis Canada needs what Gaza does. Does that make sense to you?

Whatever "majority" of countries you are referring to have nothing to do with most other terrorist organizations either. Obviously countries that are impacted by terrorist groups are the ones that have listed them.

Negotiating for hostage release only if Hamas' demands are met is futile.
