So it's a big win for the economy and business?

So it's what the ConArtists and rightnuts call capitalism at it's best?

So, it's Dougs "Ontario Open For Business" hwy signage, license plates and fridge magnets slogan on steroids?
The protesters are in it for the money.
The American givesendgo campaign has raised almost $9 million now, so protesters think they are getting paid to protest.

Its an American funded insurrection.
TD has shut down two accounts with $1 million but they can't yet stop the American money from trying to shut down our government.

But hey, SImon tells us he's been there and seen the stores open and Phil swears up and down that the hotels are booming, HOW CAN THIS BE???
it’s like a twist on Stockholm Syndrome, rather than the hostages developing feelings for the terrorists, instead the terrorists are under some delusion that they are doing the hostage a favour by terrorizing them.
The hostages don’t realize it yet but one day when their business have shut down for good and the emotional toll has crippled them, they will experience an epiphany and be grateful for what the terrorists did for them.

So locals business (with the exception of hotels are being devastated by the protests) but accommodations are being gobbled up by supporters who don’t want to sleep in their vehicles.
Not surprising and not good for the local business community as a whole.

That and they have $9 million of foreign money in givesendgo funding their insurrection.
TD shut down two accounts and $1 million, but there is a lot of right wing money funding these people.

This sums up the protestors vs. the counter-protestors in one short video 😂

This is exactly what they want and this scene is like a prelude. People divided, fighting and being totally stupid and reckless. Why? So people are distracted from the real issues and they have more reasons and justification to enforce new control measures into law.

There is a reason they are undermining the police force so bad and using them as dumb pawns to do stupid shit. First from the left and now from the right. I was disgusted when I saw they used police resources yesterday to shut down university avenue and all the side streets connecting and nothing was happening.

It’s by design. Get people divided, hateful and fighting. It’s called systematically undermining the system.

Its bigger then the liberal, conservatives, left and right bs.

CBC has a good article on how a couple of politicians talked about the issues clearly to each other without any hate or anger.
Its possible.

But of course this is CBC and its two liberals talking to each other and your's and Phil's hate and anger will keep you from listening to them.

The media plays the biggest part in this. Mainstream media operates on the same business model as reality TV shows do.
I remember listening to a celebrity who claimed she was encouraged by network execs to get into verbal fights during taping of the shows.
The news media does the same, get everybody to fight with each other and its $$$$$$ for TV ratings

No matter how hard you try to project your hate and anger onto me I will always try to see the goodness and potential in you. You are worth it. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

Reminds me of watching the night crawler IRL...what ever generates the most fear and emotion they will go with.

I didn't think you would read an article that showed a reasonable way to discuss the issues.
The resistance is not showing the anger of the right wing mobs, by the way.

People like Lightbound are the reason many Canadians haven’t lost hope and are necessary to keep the party and PM in check.

However it should not come down to the very few like Lightbound to resist the party giving up on its ideals and promises during election. What happened could have been prevented with effective communication and a road map like Lightbound explains instead of name calling, labelling and attempts at generating more hate and mistrust, division, hate and fear.

I picked up that story as soon as it was publicized and posted it here. I supported him from the beginning I was made aware of his resistance and logical approach to this solution out of the mess the PM made.

Ah see, you picked up only on the fact that one person in the liberal party shared some of your views, what you didn't seem to be able to do is read through an actual civil dialogue on the issues.
So you complain about the discussion being divisive but then take a divisive stance instead of checking out a less divisive way to discuss the issues.
If you want change, you also have to listen to others.

Opinion polls suggest a minority of Canadians - somewhere between 30% and 40% - agree with their message.

A recent Ipsos poll indicated that 46% of Canadians "may not agree with everything the people who have taken part in the truck protests in Ottawa have said, but their frustration is legitimate and worthy of our sympathy".

This is where Mr Trudeau hasn't been in step with many Canadians, whose attitudes towards the pandemic have shifted amid the latest Omicron wave and high vaccination rates, said Mr Prest.

Canadians looking for a roadmap out of the pandemic haven't heard one from the government, he said.
Mr Trudeau now appears to have heard some of the criticism, and on Friday sought to reassure Canadians he was looking towards the reopening and considering lifting some federally placed measures

I support the professional and respectful dialogue like Lightbound is generating. I don’t support the baseless name calling and attempts to segregate and divide the Canadian people like the PM is so desperately trying to generate to deflect issues at the heart of the matter and his projection of his own issues onto others.

You still think I am invested in the left and right and really care about the ideals. I have already experienced some of the worst experiences and am grateful to have a nice life now. I don’t need to change anything or anyone. I have provided my opinion where I see it fits even though it means nothing on here. When I think the left if being censored, bullied and systematically undermined I will support them the same way.

It doesn’t matter how hard you try to box me in, segregate or label me. It’s a waste of time. Maybe it’s worth it if it helps to you to learn about yourself and introspect.

Eventually the people will decide regardless of what the politicians try to tell them is the way or what to think or do. The good part about what is happening is that it is opening people’s eyes to the truth of the matter. I have seen many people who personally supported Trudeau over the years and always defend him at many families dinners and friend get togethers now think the opposite. It’s working regardless of what the media and PM try to portray.
