First, race is not an issue, it is physically impossible for race to be an issue. So shut the hell up about black this and white that.

2nd, it is true that the perpetrators were black, and that's to help identification, not explanation.

This crime is certainly sickening, and I think most people are really just feeling helpless (as I am). The helplessness is daunting and I think as a result, insecurities are bubbling to the surface as knee-jerk reactions.

Lets not take any steps back.

As for my big mouth, thanks for noticing. Maybe I should get fitted for a flak jacket, seeing that speaking up is a dangerous undertaking these days. I get it now. P.S. The SP scene is actually quite exciting these days. Its actually the same scene that you frequent. Is that the best you can do for a dig at me.

One last thing. Still, only one person has come forward with information. I guess the Wilson bus riders share Mr. Mensa's point of view. Sad but true.

Guys who have been fighting it out over the internet could settle their disputes in person. Set up a ring, gets some boxing gloves and let the fun begin.
Hell, we could even put money on it.

The guy who got shot was either brave or stupid but either way he did not deserve to get shot.
And with a gun in your face, most people's reaction will be closer to panic then calmness. So its not a surprise to see that he ran rather than talked it out. Who is to say he wouldn't have got shot trying to defuse the situation?

I doubt those kids were illegals, chances are they are born and bred in Toronto. The government is failing these kids and turning them into career criminals. Cutbacks in education, community programs, lack of jobs, etc....
Youth in Toronto are left out in the streets and are just finding nothing but trouble. By the age of twenty most of these kids will be hardened criminals and unfortunatly more incidents like what happened on Sunday will occur.

Could be the white guy was from out of town (like from a small town or an immigrant) and just didn't have any street sense to know better.

As for walking to the front and calling the cops; I doubt if the cops would be there in time to catch those punks. Unless there is a real immediate need to be there, the cops aren't usually going to rush to the scene.

I'd bet they would respond rather quick if you mentioned you think you saw one brandish a gun.
I have a few friends who are undercover cops. have some faith in our police force.believe it or not,most of them DO care you know.

This is NOT an issue of race, the governments short comings, security on the TTC or gun control! This an issue about uncaring selfish THUGS who put the lives those on the bus in imminent danger and shot two people! Then to make a bad situation worse the 'witnesses' and I use that term loosely, leave the damn scene! It's funny how so called 'community leaders' are always present and quite vocal when a 'white cop' shots someone in the course of a crime but when innocent bystanders are victims of these useless selfish thugs....no one dares to defend them! how sad ho Toronto the good has gone to memories of yesteryear and the city we now occupy is as unforgiving as they come!

If he did not turn tail and run toward the front of the bus, the little girl would not have been hurt.

by running away from sociopaths who were tying to kill him... he caused the little girl to get shot? He was supposed to stand there and get killed right? Shooter not directly responsible for shooting the little girl? I think most people would run from someone brandishing a gun with intent to kill, don't you?
He (the shooting victim) should have kept his mouth shut to avoid confrontation? Yet you publicly challenge another TERB member to meet you for a fight.
