I am pessimistic because I see the downfall of the US not because of it's economy. Which indeed is great.
Since 2021 I have been to San Diego, San-Antonio, Seatle, Portland, San-Francisco, Cleveland, Boston, Philladerphia, Denver, DC, Chicago, Houston, Baltimore and Miami. The amount of desperate and homeless is tripled since 2019. Downtowns are ugly, scary and/or empty. The amount of empty commercial buildings is staggering. And we can include Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in the mix. Mix that with the impossibility to rent or having a mortgage at a decent price will lead to misery. People think all the looters do that for fun or because of the lack of possibility to jail them all for life... Fuck it they loot because the need whatever money they can! They are in surviving mode.
Now let in a few more millions more immigrants to the mix and there you go. Just like in France.
I am not against a more right government (conservator in Canada). I am against opening the way to a guy who is a lifetime of fraud.
