Ah, I see, so according to you, funneling taxpayer money into a personalized Air Force One that will ultimately be decommissioned to serve as a showpiece at Trump's presidential library is somehow "enriching the government"? Interesting logic.

Let’s walk through this: the U.S. still has to purchase and outfit another Air Force One once this one is decommissioned, this one requires a fortune to be torn apart, which will eventually be decommissioned once Trump is out, checked for surveillance bugs, equipped with top-tier security systems, and then… what? Retired as a vanity trophy?

How exactly is that saving the country money? Please, show us the math, since you seem to have a direct line into your King's thoughts.

If Trump is putting that plane in some museum then I think that would be a dumb move, because its worth almost $1/2 billion and it could be put to better use.

But even if he does decommission it to a museum, Trump is still not enriching himself, so I fail to see a problem.

plans to accept a luxury Boeing 747-8 plane from the Qatari government is “obviously” a violation of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, according to a former White House ethics lawyer.

“Everybody gets a $400 million plane from the government of Qatar. They give them out like the M&M’s acts. And I and Alyssa [Farah Griffin] used to enjoy in the White House mess. I mean, it‘s so obviously, a violation of the emoluments clause,” Norm Eisen, the executive director of the legal advocacy group State Democracy Defenders Fund, said Monday on CNN’s “AC360.”


“I litigated these issues in multiple courts that found Trump had implicated emoluments rules the first time around. It‘s unconstitutional,” Eisen, a vocal critic of the president, told host Anderson Cooper. “And even his own party is calling him out on it.”

The president confirmed recent news reports that his administration plans to accept a luxury jet from the Qatari royal family.
