I wish I could use the ignore function in real life.
I know someone who is truly stupid. HS dropout [and not in the 1930's had to go to work way either] and it shows. Yet she always goes on about how everyone else is stupid. Goes on about how idiocracyis her favorite movie because of how it targets stupid people never noticing the irony that she has lost 3 kids and considers Jerry Springer must watch TV and is thus just like the people they make fun.
Has claimed twice to know everything about WWII and then proceed to get every single factual statement wrong without exception. Worse she does this even though she knows about my academic background. Really it would be like me going to you and telling you I know everything about the trucking industry and then telling you that the big rigs get 40 miles to the gallon, that HOS are 110 hours a week and 18 hour days and trucks average 150HP.
Worst thing, she gets violent if you pick on her so you can't even get the catharsis by calling her a retard or laughing at her.
There is a ignore function of a sort in that thankfully it was no big loss to just stop having contact with the poor slob I knew with a serious case of bitch dependency. Oddly enough she is also the reason I am hanging out with another of the dudes friend's more. We both have these WTF moments when she first came on the scene, of the how can he not see this kind of way.
That isn't trolling.
You don't post with the intent to inflame or to be a shit disturber or to simply get a reaction.
I find the best thing to do is just stop speaking and refuse to respond. It irks them. They utter a few more phrases and then stop. Tell them they are stupid and it just sets up a defensive response with more derp derp derp. Also as in the case of the above, some people get punchy when confronted with the truth and that is better to avoid.
Thankfully I am able to keep my distance, in effect a real life ignore.
What I meant is, that I think others here see me as a troll cuz I'm not currently posting any reviews!
if i ventured into the other sections i could see people getting pissed i don't post review but the lounge area is not for reviews and is just a general area, so i don't see any reason why anyone that doesn't venture to the sp sections should need to post any review of anything.
But I do go into the reviews forums. I like to read the reviews, see who is hot these days etc. and i post my comments based on pics I see.
I don't consider simon482 a troll, maybe because I agree with his opinions most of the time, but Fugi, Blackrock13 and Shack are definitely trolls their posts define trollism
