Ha kids should go out. I am a big mask and quartine preson but if your gong to open the schools.... this makes no sense. If they closed the schools and then said, you know maybe we should stop Halloween too . .that might make some sense.

just going to leave a big container of candy and hand sanitizer for the kids...my kids don't eat much candy. they're in if for the fun...will probably just walk around in costume and ring house we know.

Actually the new thing I have seen many paranoids in the neighbourhood doing is installing a PVC pipe
No shit

They attach it to railing so they can drop candy in at top of stairs and kids can hold open bag at bottom of stairs

Its actually a good idea
It does keep you well more than 10 feet apart if you actually are worried
It saves kids climbing up stairs all night
I suspect the younger kids esp will actually like seeing it in action as the candy drops out the pipe into their bags

It genuinely is a good idea like I said
Keeps both the paranoids and the denyers happy without screwing kids out of candy

There are less houses decorated this year (rough estimate up to about 60% so far, well down from a rough estimate of 85% on a normal year) but many seem busy last couple of days so we shall see

This guy is using a cardboard tube instead of a PVC pipe but same result
