If Roman Polak had taken the Orpik hit flush, he would still be playing.

That's the Leafs biggest weakness at the moment, Polak is irreplaceable. Caps forwards are not afraid to go to the net, that's why I was pissed when the Panthers traded Gudbranson to the Canucks. I was shocked they traded him in the first place and dissapointed we didn't make more of an effort to acquire him.
Nikita Zaitsev hasn't helped, either. He had another sleepy defensive zone coverage in the first period two games in a road! He is another player who is not 100% from concuss. Cherry was on him the first game the kid was back. Caps made some adjustments for gm4. Wondering if Babcok should do something in order to slowdown Caps aggression in the first period. Or,should they play Ferh if he's healthy? He has playoffs experience.

I went out and had a smoke after the end of the first period, not going to inflict Cherry's racist ignorance upon myself again.

That's why I was so high on Mark Fraser a few years ago. Yes he made mistakes but he was a wrecking ball in front off the net. A big reason why the Leafs made the playoffs in 2013. Then he took Milan Lucic's slapshot to the forehead and got heavily concussed, he was never the same after that.

Something is not right with Andersen since he came back with a suspected concussion. Can't give up 3 goals or more in each game of the playoffs and expect to move to the next series. That 5th goal was brutal and bad timing. Even Andersen admitted it after the game. Leafs are who they are with no defence and lots of offence. That's their DNA. But, Andersen can prolong their playoff by 'stealing' at least a game in this series. Gm5 will be a good idea to do that!
It would be a very good idea to rest Anderson on the game 5 and put Curtis McElhinney back in for the game 5 in washington just like the game vs Penguins. C.M was the unsung hero in that game as I remembered.

Caps will win this series, The Capitals played desperate at the beginning of Game 4, Tom Wilson ,TJ Oshie were on fire. I say Caps in 6.
What up will those dumbass Leafs fans cheering acting like there winning the cup in Game 3, Give me break This is only Round 1. The 50 year Stanley Cup drought continues LOL.

Everything is gravy at this point. If the Leafs don't get past Washington, then it has been a very successful season. If they do get past Washington then it's just more gravy.

Glad that you've followed my advice lol.

I'm actually watching the Leafs' playoff run like watching "preseason" for next season and many more to come when they'll be legitimately considered as a cup contender. This has removed all the stress for anticipating winning or losing and it has brought on a whole new level of fun.

I thought he said Caps in 4 earlier, or was it 3?
Well from now on, I think he is thinking the Capitals in two. I really hope the Leafs start off quickly in game 6. Maybe not having the last change will help them more as Babcock doesn't have to think as much about line matching on face offs. The Leafs had good success during the first two games in Washington and not as much in Toronto (i.e. going down early in both games). I am really enjoying what I am seeing but it can be stressful at times watching the games.

Toronto is only seem to be the only city in North America to have Sports fans to get crazy over one playoff win. I know that Toronto had been waiting since 1993 for a Championship sport team.
Enjoy this short Playoff run Leafs fans LOL

There seems to be trend in these playoff games that whenever a team takes a two goal lead, they'd start to think they should be playing more cautiously and that's when the other team starts to gain momentum and force the leading team into more mistakes. I believe that's why so many two goal leads were lost. Maybe thinking too much has a negative impact on how they play.

I wonder how many Auston 3:16 t-shirts will be sold for game 6. Did you see the look on Sid Seixseiro's face when he first saw it, priceless. I wonder what will happen when Steve Austin finds out?

I'm gonna make a bold prediction, the Leafs get off to a fast start and we may even see Holtby pulled.

Would have been nice...

That was quite the dramatic show by Ovie...At least it worked as they scored a power-play goal.

Leafs power=play needs to start clicking.
