Wouldn’t that be nice! Unfortunately, to net 2k she would need to gross around 3.5k because we have expenses and pay taxes like any business. And both Amber and my spreadsheets agree, to gross 3.5k, presuming 10 billable hours across 4 dates, add another 12 unbillable hours, so she’s netting less than 100/hr. This is presuming she’s driving and doesn’t have any extraordinary expenses like designer cloths, childcare, higher cost beautycare like surgery or hair extensions.
It is a decent gig as you say but it also should be highly paid for the nature of the work don’t you think? The unsung heros are that virtually anyone can enter this industry and start off with little to no investment, has an opportunity for mobility and the sales closing rate is extremely high. Not everyone can or will become millionaires but many can take care of their bills and enter or stay in the middle class with a little effort. And it can be a whole lot of fun if you love it

I agree totally that based on the nature of the work you should be well paid. However, I am always surprised at how few truly treat this as a business (yourself and Amber don't land in this category). In the OP's case, given the fact that he was what I would consider a good client by any other business standard, a regular customer that had a healthy budget to spend. You would think he would have been treated like gold. From a pure revenue perspective, this provider let potentially 100k a year (gross) for 12hours billable work per week, walk away because they did not make any effort. I worked for years as a consultant and there is no way I would have let a gig like that get away.Wouldn’t that be nice! I don't know that I buy this. Firstly we don't know anything about the guy. I'm sure he is interesting enough. Also. In every job, you need to give it your all when you are being paid
And she should be saying that she doesn't love repeat clients if she doesn't. Also if he is paying a certain amount the service should be the same. If she is going to give less she could charge less. That's why you don't see people at the frequency and you clearly know what's healthy for you. So you and the person you are with are never in this situation. know it's a hard profession to be in. But if she is fair and honest, this shouldn't happen. I wasn't there. ( lol ) but his tske ( complacency ) sounds right.

I feel the same! It’s makes you feel as though you’re either a lost cause or setting yourself up for failure if you start a business in this industry. Life happens to everyone regardless of métier. Everyone has their own baggage whether you’re a client or provider, and no one should be considered less for being either or. And to say all that, and make the passing of your regular about you!? Shameless!! I pray she’s at peace in not having to deal with the likes of him again. Have some respect.
^ this. I'm twice a week as well but do not book the same woman each week. I mean, where will the mystery & the mystique come from right? What the heck would we even talk about? I'd forget and do that old man thing of telling the same jokes over & over again. Also since I think the women I see are just great people, this also goes a LONG way to prevent 'feelings' which is "bad'.
Besides, after a few months they all start swearing & calling me names anyway
, why speed that up?No one should be shamed for the amount of money they choose to spend on a provider. I know myself when I found one or two that I really enjoy seeing, I’m happy to shower them. They provide for me a service that I can’t get elsewhere, and I wanna make sure that they feel special at the same time.
That being said, I don’t expect them to dress to the nines every time I see them. In fact, if they feel more comfortable after the fact and perhaps start dressing down, then it means they feel comfortable with me. And quite frankly, I like that.
Sometimes I do make outfit requests, and they’re more than happy to oblige because by that point, they know that they are in a safe environment. There’s a lot of give-and-take.

They hour becomes 55, then 50 minutes long, the services become cookbook and same routine with variation.
As one commenter said it's like they think the are married to you, and while you approach each date with new enthusiasm they approach it with less interest in keeping it fun for you.
Doesn't seem to be about money either, you can do longer sessions, give a bigger tip, yet it gets more vanilla and same-same....

This is like Human nature in General , at the beginning sp's wants guys to become regulars so they give stellar service, then people become complacent, this happens in any relationship, sports etc, new jobs
Even when someone is looking for a job , on their first week they are working the equivalent of 3 employees then it just goes downhill from there. thats why any sucessful relationship, marriage , job sport to be at your A game you have to constantly work at it and not everyone is able to do that or is willing to give it that much effort, at the end of the day those sp's will lose on business same way companies lose big contracts the same way, at the end of the day we also have the choice to move on and do what is best for us.
