The bad news:

Despite having one of the best vaccinations rate in the world, the UK is now experiencing a serious 4th wave from the Delta (Indian) variant.
See here: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/

The good news:

Hospitalizations and deaths dont seem to be affected much because most people do get some immunity from the vaccines.
So instead of dying you'll just get a bad cold

Seems to be good news for all those that got shots.
Side note: do you know the name of the model in your current sig?
She looks familiar from a tv show or something similar.

Does this mean you are now ready to accept the jab?

It takes at least 21 days after your first shot to get your second shot and then 2 weeks after your second to be fully vaxxed. That would put you into December. I would go for September just in time for the kids to return to school. Trust me Phil!

By this December , the Indian variant will likely be a father, or even a grandfather. Boosters or other options will probably be in force then and unvaxed herds in America will enforce a powerful and disruptive American fourth wave. The US-Canada border will again “semi’ close again but on the upside the markets will roar and pro sports will have an almost normal seasons. Deaths and hospitalization from double vaxxers will be down but will be upLong Covid up.
The 2022 Winter Olympics in China will be heavily boycotted.

I think it was said that the vaccine was almost 100% effective at stopping the worst-case outcomes, I thought there was some exaggeration but I am wrong.

How are they one of the best? They have less then 65% with the first shot from what I heard yesterday. Maybe I heard the numbers wrong.

For first dose, but when adding second dose - they are not. Sorry. That is what I was thinking about.

But at least my numbers where right - just less then 65%

Nice to see Canada at the top though.
The UK are still 2nd in the world for people who have had 2 vaccination shots. My previous comment was correct:

If you look at the graph, Canada is on top with first doses

Yup, you may be right! the US has some anti-vax states with COVID raging. Dumbasses.

Why? Do not think it will be a different vaccine then the one they give now.

It's still soon to have all the data but so far study shows pretty much only non vaccinated people end up in the hospital. And this is what you currently hear from doctors and nurses. And also that protections against the variant remains very high.

Don't be the guy who ends up in the hospital and has to answer 'no' when asked if vaccinated. Because you will then see what hate and humiliation is by the look in the eyes of the nurses and hospital staff...

Plus Phil is useful for the hot sig pic we enjoy. He doesn't bat 100% but I'd give him a sound 80% success rate at the hotness factor so I don't mind having him around even though sometimes he's so wrong. LOL

I like what he is saying that people have to live with COVID. Lockdowns was necessary when there is no vaccine but not when majority of people are vaccinate.

There is big difference between Canada and UK. NHS is one of the best in the world. Lots of hospital in UK unlike Canada.

New Delta variant is to blame
