I believe George W Bush should be brought up on charges of war crime, but it's amazing that compared to Trump, George W Bush looks like a saint and that guy should be brought up on war crime charges.
But in reality is not really surprising that they voted this bigot into office when the population of the United States is so uneducated and so misinformed. Always remember knowledge is your friend.

Since chronic cowardly stealth Trump fanboy apologist, Butler1000... wait I meant rabid Bernie Sanders supporter, Butler1000, isn’t here to explain what Bernie meant, let me take a stab at it.

Washington had slaves... Lincoln used the “n”-word, Roosevelt interned Japanese-Americans, Clinton believed that after he had sex with a Chinese woman he got horny again in two hours (Ok, I may have made this last one up..). Anyway all of these beliefs were societal norms, therefore the President’s racism was accepted since it reflected societal norms. But society evolved.

Trump IS the most racist President vs current societal norms. He is taking the country backwards with regard to race and is emboldening racists via his actions. Trump’s “leadership” on race has given every racist an excuse to crawl out from under their rocks and scream their beliefs. Thanks to Trump, critics of their racism are called “fake news” or “too PC”. I believe THAT is the historical benchmark which Sanders is using.

Anyway, I’m sure that Butler1000 will rid himself of his yellow stain and come on this thread to further enlighten us about what Bernie thinks since he supposedly supports Sanders. No wait, I believe he has already deflected these comments for Trump in another thread. LOL!

I'll start with Clinton. Don't ask don't tell. If it isn't homophobic to shove a generation of serving military personal into the closet under penalty of court marshal what is? Late 1990's

Also Clinton's crime bill is considered legislation that was used to specifically target the black community. Judging from the prisons I'd say that's about right.

Finally Clinton wasn't sexist? Seriously.

Anyway you guys enjoy the circle jerk.

Butler, shouldn’t you be communicating this to Bernie? LOL. Anyway, not surprisingly you missed the point in your rush to deflect for your mancrush Trump. You are comparing Clinton’s 1990’s behaviour using 2018 standards and as if Trump in 2018 is any different? Really? Ask yourself... “what would Bernie say?”

You are SUCH a tool... a 100% predictable one. You should erase your insipid signature line, Trump fanboy.

Right. So does that, say exonerate Trump from his racist rental policies in the 70's? Because that was the norm?

How about all of his sexual indiscretions before the me too movement. As those were the norms?

While we are at it let's put back all those Confederate statues, as they were just following the norms.

See how easy that is?

One standard sir. Try to pick one ok?

You use my comment to take a shot at another poster? That's pretty low, even by this board's standard.

What you call a "shot" I call simple observation. Here - I'll do it again. In the ONE THREAD, where Butler could expand upon what his supposed guy (Bernie) meant, he chooses to defend Trump (and totally misses the point in doing so). The difference between you and Butler is that you're open about your support for Trump. That's your mistake, but hey at least you're open about your lack of judgement. LOL! Butler is too cowardly to do that. People who lack the balls to take a stand on something OR WORSE - pretend (like Butler) to be support something or someone they obviously don't, should stay off political comment threads. How's that for a standard?

Anyone who answered yes to this poll is either trolling or needs to give their head a shake.

More racist than presidents who were slave owners?
More sexist than presidents who denied women the right to vote?
More homophobic than presidents that supported buggery as a crime?
More bigoted than presidents who organized the removal and killing of native americans for land?

A RIDICULOUS poll.

Ah, don't worry about. Essguy is one of these guys who figures he knows everything because he watched 15 minutes of don lemon and whatever echo chamber his Facebook's friends memes have him in.

I don't take him seriously. Look at what he posts.

And THAT folks, is as close as the cowardly Butler will ever come to standing his ground - especially funny as yesterday he was whining about "Ad hominin" (sic). If he were a tank, he'd have 10 gears, all reverse.

Woodrow Wilson has Trump beaten for racism. He was a virulently and obsessively racist old dude.

There goes the Bernie supporter standing up for trump once again. What's best is that it is against a direct criticism from Bernie. There goes the Bernie supporter standing up for trump once again. I guess being against racism is not one of the political issues with which you agree with Bernie.

Those were not the norms of society. Maybe somewhat more prevalent, but hardly norms. There were laws against such practices. Back in the day, slavery was legal. That would make it a norm.

On the issue of racism I consider Trump to be more
politically incorrect than racist. Past presidents in
particular Woodrow Wilson and Abraham Lincoln were racist even by the standard of their time. Lincoln didn't believe blacks and whites have the same rights. Trumps
wall building is nothing in comparison to Lincoln's
idea of colonization of black slaves outside the U.S.
Thomas Jefferson and George Washington might be
excused from their crime against humanity for being
lifetime slave owners and traders were it not for their
"All men are created equal" phrase.

Help me out guys,I keep hearing trumps a racist, can somebody show me where, how he is a racist? I have a friend who keeps saying the same thing.when I ask him for an example,he just keeps saying he is a racist. I don't spend a lot of time on USA politics,I have nothing against Trump. It does seem that the left are extremely poor losers regarding 2016 .I keep hearing racist, racist racist. But I don't ever see a specific example.

The left calls him a racist because he supported a travel ban on certain predominantly Muslim nations. He flippantly called Mexicans rapists and murderers. He failed to harshly condemn the Unite the Right participants in Charlottesville, VA. He called some African and central American nations shitholes. He wasn't sympathetic to the NFL player protests of the anthem and flag. And he supported the birther movement with Obama.

Personally I think it's pretty weak to label him a racist based on this. Politically incorrect - absolutely. But racist I don't think so. You'll see in 2020 he will garner a higher % of the black vote than any Republican since Gerald Ford.
