Look dude, I think its great that you wanna treat people with respect. But you're being unrealistic if you think the whole world is going to follow suit.
Thats why this whole LGBT movement is starting to get a bit annoying because they're trying to achieve something that's impossible

Civility starts one person at a time. Canada has always been for the most part a very civil society which has become less so in the last several years which I attribute to spillover from the US which is declining rapidly.
In terms of achieving that civility I do not accept your cynical an pessimistic view if the future. The could have been said over the years about the Irish, catholics, jews and black. As i said things change one person at a time and it statrs when voices like yours begin to fade.
