Hamas has been quite clear that they knew exactly what they were doing. They knew that their massive attack killing and kidnapping Israeli civilians was too big for Israel not to respond and Hamas was clear that they were willing to sacrifice as much as Gaza as needed to win the PR war. Of course neither you noir Frank will even admit that Hamas made the choice to begin this war, let alone hold them responsible, just like the way that the only blame you laid when Hamas blew up a Canadian kid on a beach was on her parents.
