Control.
That had once been the guiding force in his life. Control and purpose. Now, once again, he had to become a creature of absolute discipline and retake control of both himself and the circumstances in which he found himself inextricably entwined. No more childish outbursts. No more wailing. No more hiding behind inaction. Once again, it was time to be in control. Time to be the superb and unassailable person he had once been. Assess the problem and fix it. Be detached, be decisive, be fair, but above all be humorous at the same time.
