Immigration does not divide us. Right wingers like you do. Right wingers like you should also become immigrants. To Antartica.
Dont be a fruitcake Kautilya. You are an immigrant. Of course you dont think immigration divides us since Daddy Trudeau allowed you to suck on governments titty.

I smell bullshit. Youve drank the kool aid. Immigration is a cancer that simply divides us into tribes. Think brown people in Brampton. Think the Chinese in Markham. Immigration keeps wages down for corporations who lobby the government as immigrants will generally work for lower wages to "make ends meet" since they dont generally have generational wealth to fall back on.

There was zero logic in your post. I say that every time you go on a long repetitive rant where you get so worked up, you repeat the same phrase over and over again like a short circuited robot.
lots of logic in my posts
logic you ignore

ask anyone who understands economics and constraints
can Canada increase housing starts by 152% and sustain that pace for 7 , 10, 15 years ? No
can Canada increase housing starts by 100% and sustain that pace for 7 , 10, 15 years ? No
can Canada increase housing starts by 50% and sustain that pace for 7 , 10, 15 years ? No
can Canada increase housing starts by 30% and sustain that pace for 7 , 10, 15 years ? No
can Canada increase housing starts by 15% and sustain that pace for 7 , 10, 15 years ?Maybe and trying to increase that pace likely will cause incremental inflation

every time you get cornered with logic, you dismiss it
you are a clown

Many immigrants want to live in joint families. They may have a 3 bedroom and you'd have 3 families in there. Often times it's a choice.

actual that is a likely a violation of city bylaws and fire codes

not to mention a strain on city infrastructure (water, sewers, garbage collection) that wont be covered by property taxes for that one unit
oh, i guess i did mention it

]Yeah repeating "Wrong", "Do not misquote me", "152%", "it will never happen" and then following all that up with "you just want less white people" - is not logic.
sure it is, it is the only logical explanation for your indefensible position

it is pure logic that dictates , it will never happen without reducing unsustainable population growth

there is no logical / conceivable way Canada can increase housing starts by 152% or even 30%
but despite the clear factual matter of the constraints, you insist it must be done in order to maintain PR immigration.
you are willing to sacrifice temp workers & students, but insist on maintain PR immigration.

that only leaves you pushing a hidden agenda

how is the taps open , wet basement renovation working for you ?

you are not very bright

Not in a basement bad appartement in parc extension in Montreal believe me! 10 people in an appartement suited for 2 is not by choice.

My position is the only one that is defensible. It is a documented and acknowledged fact that there are supply side issues in Canada. It is also a documented and acknowledged fact that supply side issues NEED to be fixed. I took the balanced view of what we must do in the short term (tackle both supply and demand side issues) and in the long term (tackle supply side issues).

You OTOH took an economists view, that by 2030, we would not be able to build 3.5M extra homes, and then misinterpreted it to make the point that at no point in the future, will supply side issues EVER get fixed. That is purposeful misinterpretation of the quote.

You dont care about housing issues. The housing issue is just a crutch. You have taken the position to talk endlessly about housing while trying to limit the discussion on corrective measures to ONE factor that is convenient for YOUR position, without keeping an open mind to exploring other possibilities, that one would generally be if they were to care about the topic on hand.

You are not here to debate or discuss. You are here to push your conspiracy theories and wasted everybody's time in the process for engaging with you.

Oblivion
ATCO trailers, ethnic trailer parks, white supremacist enclaves, radical other religion trailer parks , possible Chinese made modular residential boxes maybe on the horizon. Brick and mortar building. is on the decline due to many factors including cost and lack of construction workers. Lots of ultra empty office spaces may be converted to residential but it is not easy or profitable without government subsidies.
And then there is the elephant in the room of what to with the large amount of senior boomers who will necessarily rely on social assistance until the end, their end

Exhibit A. 😂 🐸
Sorry pal but he has a point. I know more than a thing or two about the housing/building/development biz and it is simply not posible to bring on enough housing to accomodate the natural population growth. It is more than labour and raw material costs. Every single toilet, sink and shower needs a sewer to connect to. And every sewer needs pumping stations, forcemains, a sewage treatment plant to treat the sewage before it gets discharged into .... where?

I'm not going to launch into a treatise on the matter but suffice to say, the GTA is already wayyyyyy behind on water infrastructure replacement, never mind future growth. Drinking, sewer and stormwater are so much more complicated than the public realizes. The average person doesn't think of anything past their toilet, sink or hair in their shower drain. People think "tiny homes" are the answer. Any living facility needs basic utilities and our systems are already overloaded and under maintained despite the best efforts of every level of government. It is very complicated. Do yu recall that one tunnel boring machine that got stuck in unmarked foundation holdbacks beside a condo in Etobicoke. That was replacing and upgrading sewer systems to accomodate growth and keep our waterways clean and healthy. That single mishap cost something like $4-5 million. And the contractors who have the experience and expertise to carry out civil works are already struggling to keep up. More money won't help. Only time. We are limited in Canada for earthworks by the cold freezing the ground.

I don't think you want Canada's waterways to become a cesspool like the Ganges River.

Where does the shit go? Where does the drinking water come from?

It is so complex. I have to say though, that the City of Toronto is bad at a lot of things but their civil works planning and projects are remarkably competent and effective.

Pay attention to who's being ushered into the country post 2015 JT era....and especially how many were let in during the pandemic when the border was supposed to be closed and the gov was so focused on "protecting Canadians". They will become the majority in this country.

White replacement theory?

Canadians aren't having kids because its too expensive, you need even cheaper daycare, cheaper housing and better pay if you want less immigration.

So the gov strategically imports people who are used to living on top of each other 20 people in 1 house. Canadian cities will soon look like the dirtiest overpopulated cities from which all these people fled for a better life LOL.
Ironic isn’t it.

There is no point talking to these people. They'll talk as if they have everything figured out and they are experts in everything and they've done a cost benefit weighing all factors lol. Everybody is an expert on the internet and these guys know how the future will pan out and what can or cannot be done. Lmao. And for most of these guys housing is just a crutch and an excuse. Reality is they fear that POC will replace whites lol. So let them cry. Immigration will always involve POC now and in the future. They can either accept it or move out to the boonies and isolate themselves.🤷‍♂️

That's rich considering your utter and absolute lack of insight into infrastructure, dismissing it as a "supply side issue" as if it just a matter of ordering cutting more trees and planing more lumber.

Thanks for the more tactical insight. What you described still seems like a supply side issue with building infrastructure to support housing. I take your point and while it may be challenging, I still dont believe absolutely nothing can be done about it anytime in the future like Larue claimed. I also dont think we have to resolve the housing crisis in the short or medium term - I dont know if resolving it is even a thing. We can start now and progressively aim to get better over time, and in the short term ease demand side pressures as well by reducing immigration especially with temp workers and students. I would have to leave it open ended there because reducing immigration solely for housing is likely myopic, and should be weighed against the impact of immigration on everything else too.

I missed where anyone claimed "absolutley nothing can be done about it."

I have a hunch you are in the manufacturing side of the automotive industry. If so , or not, you can't build housing like you can ramp up car production. The layers of planning are so complex that I don't know how it ever gets done. Even if houses magically got dropped by helicopters, there is so much infrastructure to build to support it and the people. School boards have to acquire land, paln and build, and staff schools. Hydro, water, sewer, gas, roads etc. The old Buttonville airport was slated for 170 acres of development and the Toawn of Markham and Province of Ontario (rightfully) required the developer to build a new exit and overpass south of 16th Avenue. Hwy 7 and 16th Avenue have been beyond capacity for ten years. You know how much the new iinterchange was going to cost? Clsoe to a billion dollars! Just for that. And the developer said the numbers didn't work so the land sits unused. Some low density industrial development is planned for. The site simply does not make financial sense for housing despite it seeming so obviously well suited.
