Was never a fan of his music.

And what is it with celebrities, especially has-beens who threaten to "move out of the country" if Trump was to win? I would rather they threaten to hang themselves and save some other country from listening to their self serving bullshit.
As long as Trump-supporting QAnoners don't start moving to Canada, where we don't need or want them, I could not care less about anyone's empty threat.

What annoys me is anyone who thinks they can just up and leave X country for Y country. There's a process called Immigration that everyone needs to go through and there's no promise you'll be accepted by the country where you want to go.

Bruce Springsteen's estate is gorgeous, it has a separate recording studio. He breeds horses and a third of is acreage is kept as wetland. He's probably making money selling the manure to local farmers...he's probably giving it away, I'm confusing him with Bon Jovi. If you've seen the duck pond on Nashville and 27, his is twice the size.

Quite the difference to when he would work as a dishwasher at Italian restaurants for food.

This is an American concept steeped in cowboy culture.
The Westerner seeks relief from encroaching civilization by escaping to The Frontier.
Traditional it's been Mexico but also includes Canada. See Richard Dreyfuss in American Graffiti

i think if you gargled mouthwash, you,d hit .0002.
I know for a fact, taking a swig of 80 Proof (or higher) alcohol shortly before you blow can definitely falsely increase the reading. I discovered this while sitting around with friends drinking wine. My buddy has a quality personal breathalyzer and made us all blow from time to time. I was offered a sip of some 25 year old rum, neat. Not 2 minutes later I blew way higher than I did 20 minutes before. We figured it was the rum I just had. We did some more experimenting after that. What we found was having straight alcohol just prior really increased the result. Even swishing water around in your mouth and having a couple sips just prior to blowing, brought the number down from in one case 0.07 to 0.02.

Like others have stated previously I have always thought that Springsteen is alright. Good but not great. I think one of the reasons for his huge popularity was because of where he is from in the US. If Bruce was from Missouri he would not have been any bigger than Mellencamp/Seger/Petty. The NYC media machine and New Yorkers got behind him because he was a somewhat local act

Born to Run
Arguably the Best live shows of his generation.

Thats what made him.

Then Born in the USA solidified it with commercial length songs. But he came by it honestly.

I won't deny that he puts on a great show and to "each his own" to an extent but I would argue that his song catalogue does not deserve the praise/adulation he has received. Again he's alright...that's it

Not in the USA. That's why they have tens of millions of illegals. Biden will legalize them with the stroke of a pen.

You're whole "let's stick to an immigration process" makes you sounds like Trump. Deep inside the heart of every Lefty is a MAGA-hat gun-totting patriot trying to get out.

I'm Canadian; I can't be a Trumper or a "patriot". The Canadian version of a "patriot" is a loyalist, because we are loyal to the Crown. There, you learned something new today "Mr Know it All".

You sound like you agree with Trump on one of his key issues.

I would rather trump was that has-been celebrity who hung himself, preferably in a jail cell

I like some of his songs. Philadelphia. great video. really captured the depression. Jungle Land. Tunnel of Love. I saw him in 1977 at Seneca College. Great concert. Maple Leaf Gardens, a couple of years later. However, I am not a big fan. I kind of take the Todd Rundgren point of view on him. What is amazing is that with the decades of 3 hour concerts under his belt he still has the time and the interest to grace local bars with impromptu free concerts. You would think that even he would be bored with his music after that much time.
A few years ago, I saw a TV special featuring Roy Orbison, show was titled black and white. Roy had four guitarists playing background to his songs, one was a top guitarist who played for Elvis, I then noticed a very young and really enthusiastic young player who was playing great and I recognized that It was Bruce. Funny thing is that there were four young girls singing background and I saw that one of the girls was K D LANG. Who IMHO is the best Canadian female singer.

Am a fan since Born In the USA came out, I love how his emotions come out in the songs. Never got to see him live though - seen my DVD's but wish I saw him on that Born Tour back in the day. Hope he gets the help as I feel he still has some great music in him to be released. His latest 'Letter To You' is great imho.

I bought Black and White when it was first released. Took one look at the lineup of musicians and immediately bought it. Still play it once a month.
