It would surprise me to see Bichette with the big club in 2019. More likely mid-2020.
Groshans? If he makes it, 2022 (maybe late 2021).
You are probably correct about Groshans but I still believe (as many other do as well) that Bo will be up this year.

We will have to see but these top prospects developing will be fun to watch.

No sense bringing him up until his broken hand heals and he shows very well in Buffalo.

And that should all happen this year. In fact, the next few months.
There are only 3 months left in Buffalo's season.
Bichette has to a) heal b) consistently perform well.
What's the rush?
I suspect (assuming all goes well) he'll be up next year around the same time Vlad showed up in Toronto this season.

From a strictly "baseball" point of view you are correct.

One reason I can think of to bring him up sooner would be to help raise up the level of fan interest. It has been a long time since interest has been this low and anything that they can do to reverse the trend has to be a good thing. Right now the only buzz is Guerrero and there are still 30,000 empty seats every night.

They list a Gurriel Jr. and a Guerrero Jr. but the Jays do not have any players with those last names.

The guys on the radio seem to think it will be sooner rather than later. Maybe because of what shack said.

On another note, Bill Buckner passed away and it's truly sad how he was treated for so money years. He was a great player but always remember for that ground ball.

RIP Bill

with Sanchez having finger problems...… does anyone(besides me) think it is time to put him in the bullpen? I see him as a set up guy in the 7th or 8th. As a starter 3 innings doesn't get it done!

Condolences to his family and friends.

He was less than 300 hits short of 3,000.

That famous error almost never happened.
"When the Sox scored two runs in the top of the tenth, Boston manager John McNamara chose to have Buckner take the field in the bottom of the inning instead of bringing Stapleton in as a defensive replacement for the ailing Buckner as he had in games one, two and five.[21]"

What is weird is that error made him much more famous than he would have been.

I actually watched a documentary on it many years ago, they showed all these things that went wrong and how many errors and mistakes his teammates made, but yet he took all the blame.

If Vlad and Cavan haven't moved the needle on attendance, Bo won't.

The problem is Sanchez and his agent Scott Boras dont wanna do that because it lowers his value.
But I think thats a bullshit stance to take, the team should come first
