What was the ratio? How many applauded and how many didn't. Were you at the game so you could see the whole crowd? If not, your perception means shit.

As well, how did you measure the lack of enthusiasm? You said there were lots of standing ovations but they lacked enthusiasm. Do you have an enthusimeter? Did you do an exit poll where fans told you they stood but weren't really into it?
Blah blah blah. You know it's true. He's not the beloved Bautista you want him to be. You're living in the past.

Taking a look at the standings, the Jays have an outside chance of passing Baltimore and a slim chance of catching Tampa Bay. I don't know their season records but I'm assuming they lost both so a tie does no good. But those two teams play each other for the last 3 games so if the Jays close strong they could, maybe, catch one of them and at least be able to say they didn't finish last in the East (which is kinda mind blowing).

You already know the answer to these questions, so stop asking stupid questions

Unsurprisingly, you can't back up your statement.

Your perception is clouded by your dislike of JB, which you have clearly shown here for everyone to see, so you cannot deny that. Everyone else saw the repeated ovations and the respect he received from nearly the entire crowd in attendance.
You're living in the past.
I doubt fans treated end of career Willie Mays, Rocket Richard, Kobe Bryant and any other fading star playing past their prime the way you feel Bautista should be treated. They get shown the utmost appreciation for what they have done for the franchises they played for and the fans they played in front.

You can only be looked at as an ingrate.

Of course I knew. The answer was that he could not back up his claim and I wanted that to be seen by others who read this thread.

So stop making stupid posts.

BTW, do you agree with his position that JB should be treated like a bum and shown no respect, or do you just enjoy attacking me? (Apologies because that last part probably qualifies as a stupid question because I already know the answer.)

I just enjoy attacking you. You're like the 'fuji' of the Blue Jay thread.

But then I get quickly bored with you and stop responding to your tedious posts

I know you dont read very well, but what does this say??

Sort of like how you have your head so far up his ass you're picking his nose?

Bautista used to be great. Used to. Now he sucks. He got his send off. That's great. Glad he's (almost) gone.

Funny to see how tender a nerve I struck. Guess deep down inside you don't want to accept (or admit) that he sucks now.

Since post season is not happening might as well lose them out. finish last and take the higher draft pick. Piss off TB and Bal by taking the player they want.

If the Jays can sign a free agent stud outfielder in the off-season, say J.D. Martinez, they could field the following line-up in 2018.

LF- Teoscar Hernandez, CF - Kevin Pillar, RF- J.D. Martinez
3B -Josh Donaldson, SS- Troy Tulowitzki, (Ryan Goins when Tulo gets hurt) 2B- Devon Travis, (Ryan Goins when Travis gets hurt) 1B Justin Smoak ,DH Kendrys Morales
C Russ Martin (Raffi Lopez backup)
SP Marcus Stroman, J.A Happ, Marco Estrada, Aaron Sanchez, Joe Biagini (or one of the bullpen guys)
BP -Roberto Osuna, Ryan Tepera, Luis Santos, Dominic Leone,Aaron Loup, Matt Dermody, Carlos Ramirez
This roster is plenty good enough to at least get a wild card, or potentially challenge for A.L. east crown.

Great post!!

You have to assume though that Sanchez has no more blisters, Estrada has a .500+ season, Happ also has a .500+ season and Biagini has a breakout season (which I highly doubt he will). There's a lot of BUT's in your post.

Stroman I will contend should be good for around 15 wins or so.

I just wanna reiterate, there shouldnt be a problem other then our starters.
Thats our achilles heel right now

They’ll need to bring in at least one proven starter , Sanchez and Biagini aren’t guarantees for next season.

Like who though???
Here are all the pending free agent starters
http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/free-agents/starting-pitcher/

You can forget Arieta or Darvish since they're going to be in the $25m-30m per season range
Secondary options like Jamie Garcia or Jhoulys Chacin may be a target.
It's going to depend on who has a draft pick compensation attached, do you really want to give up a first rounder for a #3 or #4 pitcher?
I would expect Shatkins to look for another bargain 3 year deal like they did with JA Happ, someone who was flying a little under the radar their free agent year and get to them early while everyone is focusing on the bigger names.
I like Jason Vargas and Lance Lynn but 3 years might not get it done for either.

There's also trades and Jays have some prospects and players they can dangle. As much as I'd hate it, Kevin Pillar is very likely to be shopped this winter.

I hate to say it as well, but I see very little value in Pillar as well in the long-term.

Thats in the LONG-term!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jays got really lucky on Happ though.

And I really wanna emphasize I'm pretty hammered right now!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're like the 'fuji' of the Blue Jay thread.
It's true. We both demonstrate your lack of understanding in so many matters and your poor debating skills that inevitably lead to you having to resort to insults.

Of course your lack of intellect is compounded by your drinking problem.
And I really wanna emphasize I'm pretty hammered right now!!!!!!!!!!!!
You seriously need professional help.

At least Phil can partially blame his drinking problem for his poor judgement. Not sure what your problem is. My point has absolutely nothing to do with how he is currently playing (which is poorly), but that seems to elude you.
