Testing audio tubes

I have a '70s jukebox that, while working well mechanically, is starting to act up sound-wise. I've replaced the needle with little improvement. So now I'm looking at the amplifier. My first though is to determine if it has any weak tubes. Does anyone know of an outfit in the GTA-Barrie area that still tests audio tubes? Missing those tube-testers that were a part of every drug store way back when.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The tube store absolutely does tube testing. They are one of the best tube sellers in the world.

If you know anyone into guitars or audio, they may have a tube tester as well.
Simcoe Sound up in Barrie may also be able to help you out.

If you indicate what issues you are having, it may help narrow it down.
Tubes have a very long shelf life in general and other components are likely to give out first.

I believe A-1 electronics in Etobicoke has a tube tester. Give them a call.

I've used National Sound (Queensway & Islington) to repair one of my tube amps in the past. The repair guy (who I think is also the owner) is an audio repair wiz and has a lot of spare tubes, so i assume he also has a tube tester. Good guy, reasonable prices.
