I have been away for a couple of months, and thought I would check in.

All the members who were trying to convince us that Russia was loosing badly, and that Putin would be disposed of, if he not already was dying of cancer, are now strong supporters of the genocide in Gaza, and in addition is arguing for an attack on Iran.

The only outlayer is Frank, who at least has a balanced view of Israel.

I was quite early in saying Ukraine cannot win, and I have never wavered from that position. To me its as true as saying the sky is blue. As for Israel ..fuck them.

explained why Ukraine has already won the war or Russia has lost.
You may want to look them up for amusement.

yeah well, I have always said the post war may be complicated, but people who believe Russia can be defeated simply have no idea about the sheer scale of Russian military power. They pretty much went to Syria and turned the whole thing around with a tiny fraction of their militrary power.

Israel is estimating between 5K-10K have perished, many of them Hamas militants.
Yes it sucks that innocent lives are being lost and people are being displaced from their homes but Israel doesn't have a choice. Oct 7 was the last straw.

Genocide is about intent, Israel declared intent to kill as many as possible 'Amalek'.
They have bombed as many as they can before Biden stops them.
They've withheld food, water, shelter for 2.3 million people.
And now they are allowing disease to cause mass deaths.

What I really appreciate about your post is the fatuous pose of world-weary, distanced and neutral intellectualism - when everyone on the board knows that you're the most biased and petty member of them all.

It is only a matter of time before the territory that Russia has seized is released from their slippery fingers, once again, as it has many times before. However that has nothing to do with Zelensky (I'm certainly no fanboy - I think the Ukraine is barely distinguishable from Russia as a corrupt state run by oligarchs) and has nothing to do with what is happening on the battlefield (except for the spending associated with it, and the inability of Russia to exploit the occupied territory in wartime).

While you ineffectually and incorrectly speculate as to the possible reasons for such widespread support of Israel against Hamas, no one needs to speculate why you support Hamas.
