Is Trump starting to have second thoughts about the tariffs??

Looks like his economist advisors probably had a talk with him.
Rumor is tourism to Las Vegas and Florida is down 40% from Canada, Mexico, the EU and a bunch of other countries.
Then there's also the tanking stock markets over last 2 months, and the US product boycotts

I think the economic hit from tourism dollars fleeing the US is going to be bigger than expected.
Latest numbers are up to 70% decline in US bookings for airlines.
If I remeber a stat from a while back a 10% drop in Canadians travlling to the US would represent a $2.1 billion loss in tourism revenue.

Numbers also show land border crossings dropped by 500,000 in February alone.

Trumputin publicly lost his whopper Jr. as four Republican Senators turn on him over his sweeping tariffs, reportedly joining Democrats to stop his tariffs against Canada in a key vote.

Trump LOSES HIS SH*T as Republicans TURN ON HIM!

Looks like he followed his dream and putting tariffs on everyone, including us.

I guess he does what he says, so is invading Greenland and The Panama Canal next?

I hope the car manufacturers stop the production lines.

5:43 p.m. EDT: Canada exempt from today’s reciprocal tariff announcement, White House fact sheet states
A fact sheet from the White House states Canada is exempt from Wednesday’s reciprocal tariff announcement.

However, non-compliant CUSMA goods will see a 25 per cent tariff, and non-compliant CUSMA energy and potash will see a 10 per cent tariff.

A 25 per cent tariff on autos is still set to kick in at 12:01am Thursday.

So let me get this straight.

Are you stating that Trump has not announced, nor has he instituted any tariffs on Canadian products imported into the USA?

Think long and hard about this as your impeccable and unimpeachable TERB cred is at stake
First of all, I don't give a shit about my Terb cred.

Second of all, Trump never specifically mentioned Canada or Mexico, but he did say he would impose a tariff on foreign cars.

Whether that includes foreign cars made in Canada or Mexico, remains to be seen

Your TERB cred is sacrosanct.

U can maintain its sanctity by correctly responding to the following":

It's all highly confusing as of right now, but here's the latest update.
It looks like we're going to be okay

7:45 p.m. EDT: U.S. Senate passes resolution that would thwart tariffs on Canada

The U.S. Senate passed a resolution Wednesday night that would thwart Trump’s ability to impose tariffs on Canada, delivering him a rare rebuke just hours after the president unveiled sweeping plans to clamp down on international trade.

The Senate resolution, passed by a 51-48 vote tally, would end Trump’s emergency declaration on fentanyl that underpins tariffs on Canada.

The Senate’s legislation ultimately has little chance of passing the Republican-controlled House and being signed by Trump, but it showed the limits of Republican support for Trump’s vision of remaking the U.S. economy by restricting free trade.
