First of all, I don't give a shit about my Terb cred.

Second of all, Trump never specifically mentioned Canada or Mexico, but he did say he would impose a tariff on foreign cars.

Whether that includes foreign cars made in Canada or Mexico, remains to be seen
Your TERB cred is sacrosanct.

U can maintain its sanctity by correctly responding to the following":

So, let me get this straight, are you stating that Trump has not announced, nor has he instituted any tariffs on Canadian products imported into the USA?

It's all highly confusing as of right now, but here's the latest update.
It looks like we're going to be okay

7:45 p.m. EDT: U.S. Senate passes resolution that would thwart tariffs on Canada

The U.S. Senate passed a resolution Wednesday night that would thwart Trump’s ability to impose tariffs on Canada, delivering him a rare rebuke just hours after the president unveiled sweeping plans to clamp down on international trade.

The Senate resolution, passed by a 51-48 vote tally, would end Trump’s emergency declaration on fentanyl that underpins tariffs on Canada.

The Senate’s legislation ultimately has little chance of passing the Republican-controlled House and being signed by Trump, but it showed the limits of Republican support for Trump’s vision of remaking the U.S. economy by restricting free trade.

It's not confusing:

The 25% tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum are still in effect after Trump's announcements today.

The 10 per cent tariffs on potash are still in effect after today' announcements by Trump.

The 10% tariffs on Canadian oil are still in effect after today's announcements by Trump.

The U.S. imposed blanket 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods on March 4, but two days later it granted a nearly month-long hold for products that qualify under CUSMA. After today's Trump announcement, those products that do not qualify under CUSMA will still be tariffed at 25%.

But you stated:

"Wrong! No tariffs announced on Mexico or Canada so far", ....... in post #1209 of this thread.

Looks like you are proud graduate of Trump U, School of Bafflegab, huh?
Thats correct.

Tariffs have yet to be voted on by the House of representatives.

The Republican majority Senate has already voted against the tariffs.

Until the House of representatives votes on it, there currently are no tariffs on Canada.

Looks like you're the one who needs an education :D

Wrong again.

Those tariffs that I have listed are and have been effect since March 2025 even though the Senate voted today to revoke the emergency declaration and terminate the tariffs imposed and in effect by Trump's signed declaration invoking an emergency citing the Economic Emergency Powers Act

In other words, they have commenced and have been in effect since March 2025 and still are even after the Senate vote.

Stop embarrassing yourself, it's pitiful.

According to Carney within the article, the Whitehouse has indicated there will be more tariffs to come.
The more the merrier. We'll see what the asshole's approval rating will be like in 6 months when inflation goes through the roof.

Those GOP Congresspersons and Senators will be dropping like flies in the mid terms. Let's kill the GOP as a viable political organization outside the Bible Belt and break up the USA.
