I try hard as hell not to make an offer. I'd prefer if they go first. What if I offer too much? I've screwed myself

There are other costs you should consider, time, gas, food, accommodation.

For sure if a girl is attracted to you, I can't imagine anyone out there not accepting 400-500 each time you meet. If you're able to get a nice hotel room (minimum 4 star) then you can probably grab some room service and have fun all night for that amount. Or if you're lucky for nothing or very little at all. Most guys meeting with SBs don't care about the time cost, it's a build up of excitement. Gas is nothing, food you're getting anyways.
