Lmao!! I'll let Adriana know you are looking hard to find company for her.
Sorry for the late response (phone died and no power at home), but since I could not 'find company' let her know that 'I owe her one'. Markham is out of my woods but I volunteer for any future 'Toronto-based-assignments' and will contact Fred Z. in order to better organize and employ (when needed) the full extent of TERB's resources in the event of any future need.

Even the rain doesn't want to go to Hamilton :p :clap2:
Anybody see a big rain storm yesterday in the GTA ... :clap2:

Who would ever want to live in Hamilton when you can get a free boat ride while taking the GO Train , free car wash , inside and out on some of the GTA streets and highways . Free clean out of your basement when it floods . Just open the basement windows and all of your junk will float away .

GTA offers power conservation . Your power is turned off to save on your hydro bills . With all of this that the GTA has to offer , who would ever want to live in Hamilton . Yep more rain today . Time for umbrellas and rain coats GTA people .

The weather network got this all wrong again btw, they called for just " a few thundershowers" yesterday. They didnt say anything about flash flooding or 100mm of rain

DVP is now fully reopened after overnight closure
GO trains will be severely impacted all morning with large portions of track under water

Lost power last night around 6 pm in N.York came back 2:30 am. Today's shopping list : battery operated radio, wired phone. Does anyone have one of those hand cranked radios? Are they worth it? This is why I'm keeping my telephone line..cells were dead.

I was downtown planning to head back up to North York at the time the rain hit. I stood in a doorway in the Annex, thinking the rain would let up soon, can't rain this hard for long. An hour later, I was thinking about the last time the subway went down - was it rain, or a water main break? Watching the walkers was entertaining, running at first, then just plodding along completely soaked. About 1/2 hour in, a guy had stripped off his shirt. 15 minutes later, two very hairy guys in speedos go by, getting honks from drivers. Then I did a tour of the subway - long complicated message that was WRONG and stayed WRONG for the hour I had to listen to it. Guy in the booth at Spadina subway suggested a bus route, I went for that. Got on the second bus, we had to leave people at stops for most of the way north. Anyone who decided to walk was going faster than we were. Finally got to the station where my bike was, got home to power failure and six flight bike lift workout. Entertained cats with flashlight for a while. Headed home at 6:30, got home at 11:30.

Still waiting to hear from Rob Ford, though I understand Doug was directing traffic. The whole way home on the bus, not a single person directing traffic for us. Yay Doug!

We had no power outage or flooding in Vaughan but it sure as hell came down hard!
.... the spot I was at in Vaughan was out ~ trapped in a black hotel with no working phones, no power, dead cellphone, no emergency lights in the hallway (weird), and I don't drive lol.

Good times :p

Holy crap, that's some serious flooding. That kid was lucky.

I saw lots of vehicles stranded under bridges etc. I wonder how many figured the water wasn't very deep and tried to plow through it and got stuck. I mean, a lot of drivers aren't very smart.

Good news is I saw no sign of Looters nor any house fires due to lightning or candle usage during the outage.

Bad news, my cellphone went dead after 9 PM and not back up yet. Damn Mobilicity with one cell tower maybe.Lol

Other bad news, Torontonians don't know about using four way stops when traffic lights out.
