What is the fastest you have driven a car?

I had the speedometer at 0 estimated 135 MPH
On two occasions on public roads. Many years
ago & never again.

175 MPH on a track.

I think I did 104km/hr in a 100 zone in Edmonton before. For those unaware, that meant I got a ticket.

Car only 240km since it didnt go faster, I ride a motorcycle tho and ive taken my R6 to 274 on the 407. Its so fast you cant tell what you flew by

When I was sixteen I maxed out my dad's 8 cylinder lemans and the speedometer went to 160. The car started to shake badly and almost went out of control. Scared the shit out of me and though I foolishly kept on speeding until my early 20s, I never pushed a car beyond its limit again.

There is a stretch of road back home..12 miles..straight not a single bend in it...took my uncles '71 cuda 383CI..started at one end and hammered down until I hit the other end needle registered 14MPH....almost went thru a full tank of gas..LOL....in 12 fucking miles!!!!
I think I change shorts afterwards..LOL

3 of us bought a formula ford back in the late 70's...looked like something right out of 'Grand Prix'...went up and down the highway with it at my parents...constantly went over 100MPH in it....shook like a motherfucker!!!on that rough road..

Also I raced Go-Karts back in the 70's.....I had 1 with a yamaha 250 engine in it with a 5 speed gearbox...took it to Barnsville Geogia to race, topped out at about 100 MPH..but seemed like 200 when you're only an inch off the ground...
