LOL all I could think of was: Fuck he killed Chrissy......Takes care of one major loose end however...

So...Chrissy goes out, not with a bang, but with a whimper...so mundane, a car accident....Tony just made sure.
That throws a lot of end game scenarios out the window.
Anybody think Tony will make a move on Kelly...just to "console" her? He did gaze rather longingly at her breasts.....

Yeah, I think David Chase is trying to avoid the characters going out in a blaze of glory. While Chase hates "middle class morality plays" he knows realisticly these characters have no good endings. I think the main characters that do indeed get offed will all go out with a whimper.The Cunning Linguist said:

My guess is that the show ends with Tony still boss of NJ but barely holding on.

Killing Chris was the smartest thing Tony could do. Chris was getting back into drugs and was surely going to derail and become a rat. The fact Tony could make that snap decision about someone so close to him, shows me the writers will leave him the last one standing.
No matter how f*cked up he is or how f*ucked up things around him are, Tony always makes the right decision when he has to.
I have a hunch that these last 4 episodes will all be written by David Chase, with Steve Buscemi directing the final episode.
Considering that Chris's relationship with Tony started to decay after Tony's car accident with Adriana, isn't it ironic that Chris should go out in one. That Vegas stripper has a strong Elisabeth Shue vibe about her, will we see her again?

I think it's from season one - he goes into a pastry shop to pick up some sweets, and the snotty kid behind the counter won't serve him till he looks after the guy(in a walk-on role) who played gay Vito in the last 2 seasons.
Chrissy freaks...orders every one out of the shop, terrorizes the clerk, and then shoots him in the foot. The clerk starts screaming "you shot me in the fuckin' foot" and as Chrissy is leaving he goes "it happens".
***which of course is in reference to Goodfellows where he played Spider and got shot in the foot by the Joe Pesci character***
