Well guess you missed the facts and all
The NYC tv footage was FAKE
This was all over the news

I get my info from The New Yorker magazine, to which I subscribe. While they are blatantly Trump haters, the articles and photos they have published every week regarding Covid-19 in general, and its impact on NYC in particular, seem to be honest. fwiw

If there is one thing I've learned from all the terb threads on Covid and what will happen with the sex industry, it's that some members are not worried about it and will hobby asap, while others are going to be super careful and may never go back, especially if there is no vaccine or cure. All seem set in their opinions and beliefs, and many think that those who do not share their opinions are idiots.

As for me, I respect both points of view, but am inclined to believe that a great deal of caution is warranted. That said, and as I have stated before, hobbying was very important to me, and I will resume it shortly after things have opened up, once I have read members' reviews about how spas and agencies are dealing with personal protection, and what new limitations may be imposed.

TeeJay, not gonna argue with you. Except to say that I don't know what New York's morgue capacity is, and if it could handle 1O,000 to 15,000 bodies you stated, without requiring additional space to hold the bodies, over the time since Covid-19 hit, with I would assume a large number of deaths soon after the beginning,

Google "New York morgues" and you will see lots of pictures of the refrigerated van's they needed to hold the excess bodies, and artcles how the morgues and funeral homes couldn't keep up with the required cremations, with some articles dated as recently as April 30. Also mentioned running out of body bags.

The New Yorker did write about the military medical ship that was called to New York to assist, but was ultimately not required.

Edit: this a reply to TeeJay's post which was a reply to my post #52. His post seems to have been lost or deleted...

Toronto
Niagara on the lake wasnt as bad. the main street had a decent amount of people but most of the shops were closed aside from a couple of gelato stores.
More importantly, what about Maple Leaf Fudge?

I visited 2 ON hospitals in past week and both totally empty (I was crowing in other thread about what great service they had and how quick you go through vs the normal hours of delays pre-pandemic)

There is a 3rd hospital within walking distance to my home and it looks abandoned; I commented multiple times lots were empty as I strolled by

The whole rumour of overwhelming hospital and supply shortages was nothing more than fear mongering
The only places worldwide that got "overwhelmed" were some tiny rural hospitals in middle of nowhere north Italy

Its actually funny how full circle this pandemic has come
China had virus said a few deaths no big deal
Then Italians running around acting like its end of the world spooked western countries
Now we have virus and most realized it is not a big deal at all; plus most deaths are old people in homes (over 70 years accounts for 87% of Canadian deaths)
Turns out China was right and Italians were the true idiots in the storyline
What you claim to be "tiny rural hospitals in middle of nowhere north Italy"
Is what is known as the Lombardy region. The Lombardy region which is Italy's worst affected area from the Coronavirus with over 15000 deaths which is almost 50% of the deaths from all of Italy. What you call "rural hospitals" in cities such as Brescia, Bergamo, Varese, Monza, Milan is what is known as urban areas to everyone else who understands the difference between rural and urban.

As for your assertions that hospitals are empty this has been explained to you numerous times but here it is again. Thankfully we have a government (provincial & federal) that took measures to make sure we are able to fight the Coronavirus properly, one of those measures was to cancel a lot of surgeries in our hospitals just so that if the cases exponentially grew we would be able to handle the extra need for ICU beds.
