Yah!

With Quebec, BC and ON as part of the US, no more Republican governments - ever!
Again, why would the U.S. entertain the thought of a sourpuss province like Quebec. Why wouldn't we just grab your resource-rich provinces and leave the progressive cities on their own? It's all a daydream in any event.

Canadians will vote Dem because we're not Jesus-morons from Oklahoma and Alabama and the GOP will die at the national level.
This has been overworked and unsuccessful messaging from the American Left. The breadth of Trump's support expanded in 2024. It includes many large States without significant evangelical populations. Many Black and Hispanic voters who voted for Trump are also self-identified Christians.

As far as Canadians, never underestimate the power of voting for one's self interest if given clear choices. Trudeau's double talk on immigration is simply the Liberals' response to the fact that voters no longer see the Canadian immigration system working in their best interest.

Nah Canada has absolutely nothing to do with the US. Even tho there is an extremely vast amount of good people in both country.
I mentioned before that when I started doing business in Canada several decades ago Canada was closer to the U.S. in outlook. Canada had some European aspects to its culture and politics. Over the last few decades, it appears Canada has been lured by the temptation of European progressivism and socialism. Objectively if you look at the numbers, that's not going well.

There are enough Canadians with a working memory who can ask the right questions and challenge the status quo. Canada's future (just like its past) is dependent on tying itself closely to the U.S. economy. The government has to remove barriers to this objective as well as barriers to investment and innovation.

You can't fight geography. You can still be French in your heart if not in your mind.

Let's be honest...the only reason why the US would ever want to take over Canada is because of our beer. It's better.

Quebec has no resources???

Don't get cocky from making inroads in 1 election. The pendulum will swing back again by 28.

Except we both know that the immigration system is both bipartisan and also works in Canadians' best interest, given the vanishing birth rate of native born Canadians and the continual need to import people.

PeePee is jerking off the standard rightie bullshit about "too many immigrants". But when - or if - the Pee gets in as PeeM, he will continue exactly the same immigration system - just like every other Canadian PeeM since Trudeau's daddy. Because it's the system that works for this country.

"Over the last few decades" would presumably go back to Mackenzie King putting in place a working health system in the 1940's and other "progressivism and socialism" of that type.

Unlike your own country, we don't let the poor and old die in the gutter because they cannot afford medical care. But that's because we're "socialists", I guess.

And no, we were NEVER close to the US in outlook. We were always better than you and 90% of the guys on this board will agree with me.

I'm sure that Trudeau and the Libs know this - as has every significant Canadian politician since Mackenzie King.

Welcome back, Earp. I see your bullshit is flowing as freely as ever. Tonight you invent crap about the Trudeau liberals being anti American - apparently because they're "French in mind, not heart" or some shit like that. The Liberals like a good trade deal as much as the Tories.

Last time I checked, it was the assholes to the south who were threatening 25% tariffs and other bullshit. So don't blame Canada.

See, this is it. My business caters to the extremely wealthy. They're doing fine. Which is why I'm at where I'm at: Wealth inequality is the driver for much of the societal issues you are reacting to.

I'm not selling capitol assets regularly. And the capital gains tax rate is not 33%.

I'm more than 10 years from retirement, and I might not sell my office when I retire. But if I do, and it's appreciated $2m when I sell it, I'm coming out ahead. If it's worth 3million, I'm losing 13% of 3 million, instead of gaining 8% of 2 million, so I still come out ahead.
Not the tax rate on capital gains, the inclusion rate (33% or 66%)which is then taxed at a corp tax rate of ~22% (fed + prov).

What do you do with the left over profit after you have paid yourself a salary?

I have a small business but it is not incorporated, I plan to incorporate but I need to figure out what is the most tax-efficient way to handle the profits, leave the money in the company to invest or withdraw as salary, special dividend, etc...

a far more likely scenario is Trudeau / Sell out Singh have shown the Canadian electorate the true nature of left wing politicians and you will be governed by right , center /right parties for a very, very, very long time ..... perhaps for the rest of your days.

you had better get a blood pressure monitor & start ordering Tums by the pail load.
you may as well shave your head now as stress related hair loss is not a good look

inflation may not impact you as much, consider yourself fortunate... so far
it most defiantly does/ has impact most Canadians
Since you blame this on Trudeau, please list all the countries whose inflation rate is markedly lower than Canada's......................I won't hold my breath.

Ahhh yes, Beaver our global prognosticator!

It wasn't too long ago you were arguing obsessively the Brits were tanking and doomed because of Brexit. Meanwhile, France and Germany have been racking up incredible success. 🤮
Brexit has handcuffed Keir Starmer and Errol Musk wants his liver on a stick. I don\t see him serving out his term.

If Ana moves to Sardinia she can hook up with Jannik Sinner. The Sardinian Riviera is the new hot spot for the ultra rich.

The OP sounds like some kind of propagandist, using the term "Trump's America". Most Americans dislike Trump and will be holding their nose while we get through the next 4 years.

1: pay to talk ro a tax pro/accountant. I'm a sleeze on the internet.

2:It's been a while since I incorporated. Threshold for me was ~150k in income.

3: my personal (and my family members) income is derived from leasing space and equipment to the company, the rest is paid out in dividends.

4: Some of my retirement savings is stored in real estate, but I have a wind-down plan for that too.

The Brits are doomed because of Brexit. It's just taking a while.

England is collapsing economically bit by bit. It's kept afloat by the financial sector in London.

Every small niche manufacturer is hampered - if not out and out destroyed by Brexit.

Explain to me how Brexit cannot but destroy the British manufacturing sector when there are now tariffs preventing it from trading with Europe?

Explain to me what Britain got in return of any value?

Most Americans voted for him but they dislike him ?
What does that tell you about the democrats ?

Trudeau as the political leader is responsible for fiscal policy in Canada
Trudeau acted irresponsibly
so yes he is to blame

telling Canadians that people elsewhere are experiencing inflation does not help Canadians who have to choose between paying rent and buying food for their kids

Hey Earper do you have a reason why Greenland is not part of the USA, as your idol stated that he wants Canada to be the "51st" State.........Bahahahaha!!
Obviously, you are not aware as to how badly Brexit has impacted the UK economy!!
Do you think that Britain has fared better when it exited from the EU? No wonder that most British think that it has made things worse for them!!
You better dispute this Youtube Facts:

Once again it was a lose, lose for all with the UK impacted more negatively than Germany and the same as France:

Yet you righties were cheering the exit because a certain cult leader from down South endorsed it!!

wrong once again
why are you always wrong ?

brexit occurred because what was suppose to be a an economic union became unelected bureaucrats in Brussels dictating British domestic policies
